Update: My MINI made it through the Atlantic and is now discharged from the Toledo . Hopefully, it's only going to stay at the VDC for one week.

 

Mine has made it to the VDC also, how long you think it's gonna take to get to Baltimore. Anyone have any thoughts around a time frame?

 

Ehhhh This sucks. My mini has been finished since March 6th but I still cannot find any shipping info on it and after speaking with my MA on Saturday he said that they were waiting for 3 or 4 more mini's to finish production before they loaded mine onto a ship. This sounded really odd to me b/c i've been through this before and with my last mini it waited 4 days at the dock and was loaded onto a ship. Has anyone else who's mini was finished on or around the 6th still hanging in limbo?? Or am I the only one? I was supposed to take delivery on the 1st week in April but it looks like my Mini may not even make it to the US by then.

 

Wild, I'm right there with you. See my post(s) throughout the thread. My Mini was on the dock by March 7th and still in limbo.

The "Golden Fan" left Southampton yesterday, and I am very hopeful my (and your) Mini is aboard. If you hear anything, please let me know. It was a K-Line vessel, so there's no way to track it, so I guess until my MA emails me to say it's on the way, I will never know.

The Golden Fan is the first K-Line to leave since our cars were done, and apparently the WWs havent' carried it, since it doesn't show up on any of the tracking pages. The Franconia was to arrive in Southampton on Thursday, but it ended up taking a pass and going directly to SC, so maybe that was because there wasn't need for TWO boats, so the 2nd of the two is being used to take on that cars arriving Thursday as well. So, some people will have almost NO wait, and schmoes like you and me wait almost 2 weeks. At least, that's the idea helping me sleep the past couple days.

I'll see if the car is shipped tomorrow. Please let me know if you heard anything either. Mine's going to Florida.

 

Wild and jmelrose, I'm with you too. Finished 3/9, and as of Saturday, still waiting at the port. I will call my MA today and post back.

It stops in Baltimore the 27th. It did leave port a day late, so we'll see. I am hoping it gets in the 29th though since it would be nice to get my car in line at the VDC before the Liberty gets in on the 30th!

 

Just got a message from my MA (Dustin Krause at Bill Jacobs MINI in Naperville) who told me that my MINI has been at sea since March 9th!!!

Should be here (US) in the next week to 10 days!!

And here I thought I was sitting at the port!!

My MINI completed production on March 6th also, according to ASK MINI, and should go to the Charleston VDC. I have found nothing as to where the car might be now, but my MA said this past Friday, I should have it in three weeks. That is Easter weekend, or a few days after, if my calender is correct.

 

The PATRIOT is the boat I am on. It looks like it has now left New York. Only two more stops to go.

 

So it seems like a lot of us Week 10ers are getting the Sat Nav. My MA has said I will be the first one at the dealership to have it. I'm hoping that when my MINI arrives, it will the split-screen functionality issue sorted. I am also crossing my fingers that the voice that gives the turn-by-turn directions has a British accent!

 

Some of the British folks say the accent is more generic. I was hoping for the British voice, as well.

 

O god I hope mine made it on board too. It's killing me that my baby's been sitting at the dock for 2 1/2 weeks when she could have been in the US by now and on it's way here to La. I'm calling my MA first thing tomorrow. jmelrose, Did you order your Mini from Downtown Mini in Orlando??

Visited my MA yesterday. He said they are tracking it and I will be his first manual transmission MC. Its on the Patriot. Their tracking is showing it for arrival at the dealer on the 29th or 30th, and I can take delivery on the 31st!! They are projecting it as a March sale. It will beat the earlier projection by 2-3 weeks.

 

Also on the Patriot. I'm hoping for the 31st as well. The dealership told me late April/ early May when I ordered.

 

Where are you from, I'm in Baltimore, Just wondering my time frame thru you possibly!
