Windshield Cowl Replacement

I bought a windshield cowl kit off of ECS Tuning for my 2008 Mini Base. It comes with a long rubber piece that attaches to the bottom of the windshield and to the cowl peices. Unfortunately it never seems to fit right. It will attach to the windshield on the left and right side but sag in middle. This conundrum ended up having a piece of the cowl snap off and I needed to order a replacement. Does anyone have any advice on how to rectify this situation?

Check to make sure that the seal butts up against the bottom glass, sometimes people that repair the windshield will use too much sealant and it will need trimmed back so the seal will go all the way on.
