The MRS (airbag SRS) module has a 93D7 code for "internal control unit fault"

Working on a 2010 R56 N14 I just bought. The MRS (airbag SRS) module has a 93D7 code for "internal control unit fault". According to some expert, it is not repairable without desoldering which is expensive.
The module part number is is 65773454346. This "exchangeable retrospecitively" page is from realoem:

I went to junkyard and found a 65773451779 which was superseded by my 65773454346 which means it is older than my car.
I did the recoding with my autel successfully:

And now I got 6 codes I can't erase:

4 possiblities:
1. I used an older module (65773451779) when I have the 65773454346. Are modules backward and forward compatible?
2. Maybe I actually have these 6 codes? No fuse between these airbag sensors and the MRS module according to newtis.info. I looked under the seats, the yellow connections are clean and intact.
3. The module I got from junkyard was from a crashed car and these codes are hard coded in the module, meaning I can just send it out to one of those $40 reset service on ebay to get it fixed?
4. NCS Expert or some software would allow me to somehow clear these codes?

What do u think?

did you disconnect the battery when you installed the module?

That's exactly what happened to me too lol

i ended up getting another module, disconnect the battery, install the module, reconnect the battery, then recode it with NCS.

I know it is bad to do that with battery on, but i thought the car was sleeping. maybe not lol

the 2 were same number, and 2 were advance numbers 98XXXXX vs 34XXXX. i killed the first 3 because I didn't remove the battery. the fourth was a charm. However, I think the issue was because of not removing the battery. these modules are the same in hardware, I believe. the rest is in the coding.

MiniToBe, I got it working. This time with another older module, I DID disconnect the battery before disconnecting the module, then did the programming and erased all codes and it is all good. THANKS.

Guys, disconnect battery ALWAYS before disconnecting modules.

Was your car in a collision? if so did you have to replace the crash sensors too?
I have a 2010 and it hit a guard rail on black ice. the Steering wheel airbag deployed. I have got a replacement Airbag and module. Will i need to replace the forward sensors?

It was not. These things would just develop internal data corruption of some sort and stop working.
If it was due to collision, there would be crash data hardcoded and u can use some ebay service to reset it. But they don't fix this 93D7 problem.

Updating this so that knowledge can be shared.
Mini and BMW airbag module (SRS, MRS, whatever they call it) would have 93D7 code (along with others?) after a crash and it is not soft code that u can erase. There are services on ebay to erase these hard code(s) for $30 ish.
Crash sensors (2 in the front, 2 on B pillars) are NOT one-time use.
If u get a replacement module (Good luck finding a non-crashed mini in junkyard), you do need a capable scanner to reprogram it. (flash, code, whatever they call it.) I tried using bimmergeeks bmw tool, with latest sp-daten, there are just too much glitches to make it work and I gave up after programming it with WINKFP and got a coding error). I went back to using my autel maxisys and finally got rid of the airbag light.

Thanks for the info.
I already got the module reprogrammed, and bought a couple crash sensors. I guess i wont need them.
Lets see if it will be code free once i get it all reassembled.

Thanks again!

Hi, you said you did the reprogramming with your Autel, any chance you remember how?
