Footwell Module Recall & NCSE

About ten years ago, I customized a few things -- like closing windows/sunroof with the key fob, etc. -- on my 2013 R56S using NCSExpert, Recently, my MINI dealer has tried to schedule me for the footwell module recall, but I've been putting it off for time reasons (it's a 2-hour round trip to the dealership and the recall service takes 3+ hours).

Does anyone know whether replacing this module will erase my NCSE customizations?

Are you having FRM problems?

Not absolutely sure, but I think the Key fob settings are stored in the CAS and JBE.

Nope, no problems, which is one reason why I haven't been keen on having the recall work done.

I'd like to believe that BMW is finally being pro-active about FRM issues, but this seems to be a new money-making scheme done at the inconvenience and expense of Mini owners.

Are you sure this is about replacing FRM?
I have had two FRM recalls for my R56S and both are about mitigating water potentially getting into FRM.
First one was done years ago - they inspected FRM. There was no damage, so they added additional "seal" of sort to add protection.
This time around they are supposed to check it again and replace sun roof drain tube that apparently can get clogged and result in water reaching FRM.
So if your FRM is good they might just leave it?

Hmmm, maybe. Well, the car goes in for 4-wheel alignment tomorrow, 7/31, so I'll ask them what the recall service involves. I just assumed the module would automatically be replaced.
