Engine Mount Recommendation for R56

Using Torque Solutions Engine Mount on lower arm. Before that w Mods below the engine looked like it was having a heart attack when I opened the throttle. Much better after but (as I expected) picked up more cabin vibration. With car lowered and BAD Maryland roads l think I have to replace after only 4 years. Question: Use the same brand or is there something better out there? Thanks!

R56 (2008 Mini S Hardtop) MODS to-date include:

Manual Trans - Ringer Racing Clutch Stage 3 and Flywheel

Milltek Performance downpipe High Flow Cat

Brisk Spark plugs gapped at .025 ( May change to .022-.024)

Snow Performance Water Meth injection (controller on dash to left of wheel – washer fluid tank converted to Boost Juice reservoir)

BC Racing coil overs

Torque solutions engine mount.

Don’t the make replacement bushings for the torque pro? I went with the BSH and they have replacements for them.

Good idea as it would likely be 1/3 of the $130 price but Didn't see them for the Mini - http://www.torquesolution.com/Motor-...rts-s/1244.htm. Since I might have to buy new mount just checking to see if anyone had comments on which to use. Thanks for the suggestion

I like my BSH but it looks like they have gone NLA, I got mine for $90 off of their website, but no longer their either. So it looks like the torque solution or stock with inserts are the way to go.

Got it. Was reading the 2013 to 2018 thread started by fcminicoopers "R56 BSH R56 Lower Engine Mount (Street)" Re the debate between BSH, Powerflex and OEM. I am sure we all want the stability the mod with as little cabin vibration as possible. Mine gets pretty bad (different places in different setting) then fades for a while. Was hoping someone new of a better option.

Had you gotten into panel liners etc to deaden the vibrations?

Nope not yet, 2600-3k is pretty bad. Eventually im pulling the whole dash out, im looking at a core support first. I just deal with the rattles, 90% of the time it’s just me in the car, with the wife I just try to get the RPMs above where it rattles.

I find it hard to believe that the TS lower mount needs to be replaced… it’s a pretty stout piece of kit. If your engine feels like it’s moving more, I would suspect the other two mounts (passenger upper, and gearbox) to be getting soft or tearing. Have you looked at those?

PowerFlex now offers a gearbox mount insert for even more stiff:

Tried to post a quick video but when I went "go advanced" it went to an old thread I started under General Mini talk. Can you check it out and tell me what you think

Here it is: "Engine is not torqueing like when I had OEM rear mount but getting noise on passenger side front. This noise is also different from the various cabin rattles I have gotten in the past (eg see my post of Feb 2020) much deeper, constant and u can feel vibration on passenger floor panel. No engine performance issue.

Didn't see the other mounts offered at TS website for Mini or at Mini Mania but will check. IF the video uploaded successfully can you let what it sounds like to you?"

For sure, with the Torque Solutions rear motor mount you WILL have more vibrations in the cabin. You are adding a solid link between the motor and the firewall, right behind the dashboard.

I can't tell anything from your 3 second video clip, sorry. Diagnosing sounds and vibrations over the interwebs is near impossible.

For the other two mounts, only OEM style are available.
