R56 excessive sunroof noise

So I think this is well documented, but the only responses I've been able to dig up regarding the issue is "take it to the dealer".

I'm driving an 09 MCS so going back to the dealer isn't really an option (unless of course I wanted to throw money away lol). Anyone do any sort of DIY to fix this issue? Seems like something to do with the seals around the sunroof.

Symptoms:
wind noise, no whistling just noisy at high speeds say 60+mph.

Needs adjusted or the sunroof seal is shot. If the roof is flush and matches the gap on all the seams, then its the seal/.

Adjustment: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ind-noise.html

Yeah roof looks pretty good, it's all flat and the gap seems uniform throughout. You're saying its the linked seal then?

Probably best to do both the front and rear while I'm at it. Thanks!

For what it's worth mine was making a lot of noise almost like a wheel bearing wearing out or a tire rubbing. The rear pane slider was disconnected from the frame at the hinge, the screw backed it out on the driver's side.

ECS,
When I read your descriptions it seems both of the seals you sell are for the rear sunroof pane even though one says front in the title.

Mine will make noise at highway speed when closed at stop and make noise at slow speed when shut at highway speeds. A simple open and close quiets it down...still seals?

Main seal is this part which we dont acrry as its sold by the meter: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...f/54109813474/
You will have to go to your local dealer for that. We dont stock and cut these. ^^

Diagram # 6 https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...72#54102755851

#8 is the center front and # 7 is the rear. Both listed above.

If the seal is ok and just off you can have it adjusted, linked above. If its not plush(off a hair) then try gummi Pflege first to try to renew it. https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/gummi/

I use that on my convertible and door seals.

ECS,
I did. We spent a day adjusting the sunroof according to the Bentley and the air is reduced but still there. It was a pain and I’m not sure I want to do that again.
Once I get the gumption up to tackle it, I’ll order your seals.
