Sunroof wind noise

I just bought a 09 clubman with a sunroof. I love the car all but the wind noise from the sunroof when it is closed!!! I have heard that this is a problem with the adjustment that needs to be done at the dealership? I have also heard that even after adjusting it it can get noisy within days again. I was thinking of buying a WeatherTech sunroof wind deflector for a possible solution to the problem. Has anybody used this product and does it help?

My 09 is noisy also. I really like the sunroof but the noise when it is closed drives me crazy. I will follow along to see what others say.

hey guys hope i can shed some light on this situation for you. the sunroofs that are giving wind noise can be fixed one of two ways. like "WINN" stated the adjustment procedure can usually fix about 90% of the problems with the sunroof noise. however if this cheaper of the two fixes does not correct your complaint, then we move to looking at the weather trim for the sunroof. it comes as four seperate parts and requires removal of the glass ( front and back) then just cleaning the tracks and sunroof area very meticulously. install the new weather trim and readjust the sunroof glass. this process is a 5 hour job at our mini shop here in florida but the seal only costs about $100.00 dollars. so in a summary i would start with the adjusting of the glass first then if you have to the seal is the only other stone set fix we have come across. the seals can ( over time ) get weaker and not be as stiff causing a sink in the sunroof or uneven closing so this is what we experience with most of our problem sunroof cars. hope the info helps!

I have had my R56 in Orlando for four years now. The sun sure does give these boys a beating. I had to get my seals replaced last year because of the wind.

Are you replacing #6 along with #7 and #8 or just the #6 to solve the problem? I can imagine in the south the seal being sun beaten all the time.
