Pic request-Blacked out headlight rings on a justa
I found myself with a can of black plastidip and a little more free time than I probably should have, so as in that proverb about having a hammer and everything looking like a nail, I am thinking about blacking out the chrome headlight rings. I have seen numerous mcs with only blacked out headlight rings, but on the s they are complimented by the black plastic grille. How would they look on a justa with a massive chrome grille? Anyone has done it? Pics would be appreciated!
Here is a thread with them with a chrome grille. You could also plastidip your grille if you wanted. Or change the chrome grille trim to black (upper here lower here).

Thank you! That's an R53 though, so the slats in the grille are body colored. I am actually thinking about dipping the grille, along with taillight rings and the chrome piece above the license plate. I haven't done my research on how to remove these parts yet, so the idea is still in the air.

Ah yes, not paying attention. Not a justa, but has chrome grille trim with vinyl wrapped black rings here. They did the taillights as well and looks like they have the CF trunk grip. Looks really good. I think your idea will look good. The removal is pretty simple. Lots of NAM threads on how to remove them. Some below for you.

I just came back from watching the video haha. Thank you! Also, looks like the trunk grip is a pretty straight forward removal, I found a thread. I think I might just as well do the rings first and then add the grille if I feel like it clashes. Who said I have to do it all at the same time?

You're welcome and yes, you can always go back and paint it if you don't like the look of it. Post up some pictures once you get the other items finished.

This will give you an idea, of course the blackline is black gloss , but you get the idea.
Yeah, I've seen these. I was wondering how black headlights will look with the chrome grille...but I'm about to find out, since I dipped the rings today and I will pop them on tomorrow. I think I will blackout the grille anyway, it doesn't look too hard to remove. Thanks!
Hello! I have finally done it. First I tried just the headlight rings and didn't really like it so I blacked out the grille as well. Looks pretty good to me, just hope it doesn't start chipping away too soon.
Thanks everyone for the input! Plastidip is awesome, so much easier than painting.
