R56 Using Torque to locate issues
What symptoms does your car have?
Monitor "fuel rail" with Torque. Idle pressure should be about 700PSI. The pressure should peak at about 2200PSI under full load. Pressure will drop to around 250 occasionally when you let off the throttle. Unfortunately, everything might look great with a dying HPFP because the pump fails in strange ways. Mine acted up a couple of times, then worked great for several hundred more miles before dying completely.
If your car is in limp mode or has a check engine light, scan for codes with Torque. A bad HPFP will be indicated by a few different codes. You will probably see misfire codes on all cylinders, a random misfire code, and one or more fuel pressure codes. In limp mode, fuel pressure will drop to about 60PSI, but that alone does not mean the pump is bad.

Torque will only give you generic codes, no manufacturer specific codes, and I'm not entirely sure you can monitor fuel rail pressure on it. You may have to find a shop that has access to a quality scan tool such as; Auto Enginuity, Autologic, etc. to read the manufacturer codes and fuel pressure.
But the above stated symptoms are what you will be looking for, misfires, erratic idle, hard/no start conditions, lean conditions under certain engine loads, manufacturer codes pertaining to the HPFP, half engine power accompanied by the CEL and limp mode.

Ive set Torque up on my Android smartphone. I've plugged in the OBD2adapter, enabled GPS and BLUETooth, but i don't get a positive message regarding the adapter or the ECU connection! Could there be some other setting i've neglected?

Bluetooth USUALLY has a built-in security PIN code when pairing the first time....so random folks cannot pair stuff accidentally to your phone...
The Bluetooth device usually says on the setup the pin code...then you enter it when pairing into your phone,if present....just like doing a headset..

Ok i managed to fix it... so where do i Monitor "fuel rail" with Torque? And also, if there is a HPFP issue will it be seen even when the problem is not present? Before a few days, i had the symptom when starting the car but no CEL came up, nor did Torque find any fault codes to log!
which obd plug are you guys using?
i went cheap, and im not really happy about it

I can't read fuel pressure on mine, l think fuel rail reading is unavailable (N14 as far as I know...if I do find I can I'll let you know)
