It's an independent shop in Raleigh, NC that specializes in BMW and Mini. I found them when I joined TMCC (Tar Heel Mini Motoring Club).

I think your best bet would be Helix in PA call them up, it's about 1 1/2 hours from NYC so I'm guessing less for you depending on where you are in NJ I think he charges around 300 or 350 not sure.

It would make a good sticky indeed. Even in a larger city like here in Las Vegas I am having trouble finding a shop to do it here. The local independent mini mechanic here has a chemical treatment using BG products I think for around $500.

My dealer charged me $320 when I specifically asked for the cleaning (he did not charge diagnostic $$ to find a problem).

JCWKart, $350 is a good price. I would be very suprised if you find a better price.

Have fun,
Mike

Why on earth would you do that to your head?
I use Head & Shoulders on a daily basis and occasionally if I want to live a little I use my wife's Herbal Essence.

We charge $349 and use the factory tools for the most effective cleaning.

Helix did mine, and I'm from between DC and Baltimore. Worth the drive and their service is top notch.

I've had my MINI worked on by Swedish Motors in Marietta, PA. It's up 83 to York, then 30 East for a bit. They have a MINI enthusiast on-staff and the BMW toolset. They did my timing chain, for instance. I don't know if they do walnut blasting, but they were very good to deal with, relatively affordable, open and honest, and might be easier to get to than Philly for you.
