R56 From r53 to r56.
From r53 to r56.
I haven't been around in a while and always was more of a reader than poster..but wanted to share..
I had a chili red 2005 Mini S for 3.5 years and loved it! That supercharger whine just sounded so right. Solid car, for sure.
Then..I needed more room. Bought a Jeep and the Mini was no more. I made it about 4 months before saying "screw this!" and buying my pepper white r56.
I LOVE this car even more than I did my r53! So far I've got the windows tinted, exhaust modified, and cold air intake. Lowerings next.
Anyways, i just wanted to share my story and thank EVERYONE on this site. I have learned all I know about my r56 (and r53) from reading all of your post. Each of you have helped me fall in love with Mini.

53 to 56
Enjoy the 56 and be sure and take it up to the Townsend, Smokey Mountain and drive the roads. Beautiful Country around Knoxville. Would love to be driving my Mini on those roads.
I do almost weekly! I live about ten minutes from the foothills parkway and Townsend!

Yes this is the first for ownership.
Believe it or not I have been looking and thinking about the Mini since back in 2007.
Test drove the MCS 6-Sp. Manual.
It was so cool but the dealer then and I just never could get the numbers worked out.
So years have gone by and the wife said she still wanted one.
Her B-Day was last week so I decided to see if I could find just the right MINI.
I really "Lucked" out finding this one.
It was a 1-Owner, Non-Smoker, Adult owner and purchased here at our Mini Dealer.
Was loaded-up and also had the Auto-Tranny.
As it turned out the dealer that had it I knew one of the salesman.
It all went super smooth and the rest is history.

It is so much fun to jump in and just think of some place to drive.
Any Ole place will do when in a MINI
