The Ponies have returned!

Had the walnut blast done today at Motoring Magic in Thousand Oaks. At only 43k, they looked pretty coked up...but afterward a nice mirror finish! Big thumbs up to Motoring Magic. Put new plugs in as we'll and oil change too....also added a BSH OCC and PCV block/boost port.

I never knew that I was being robbed on horsepower...but man it feels great to have them back!

Yeah, I'm right at that milage also and am starting to notice a drop in torque.

How long did it take them to complete it?
I'm a little nervous about dropping my car off...
Also what kind of cost are we looking at?

Took about 2 hours for the blast....$445.

Scott (owner) is a Mini beast! You have to check out his R53! Steve is the technician and pays attention to the finest details...no worries, I waited and watched Steve step by step.

This is the first time I've been able to get the car to over boost since I bought it used last year....what a jolt!

I had this done on my '08 MCS last year. The dealership was replacing a bad thermostat under warranty and after the test drive they were unimpressed with the "get-up-and-go" so they performed the treatment no charge. I couldn't believe the difference it made, felt like brand new. I'll be looking to do this every three years or so from now on.

Just got mine done as well at 45000. I bought mine with 35k miles on it, and the car has NEVER felt this powerful. Looks like I'll be needeing new tires soon =D

I've put about 5K on the MINI since the blast and just added a NM intake...nice little bump on the seat dyno and the turbo spin up and BOV dump sound is kinda neat. I did pull off the intake manifold to take a peek at the valves and they still have a shine to them....probably too early to tell in the OCC/Block is the cause or it may just take longer to build up crap again. I plan to check it every 5K.

Ummm...tips?

Made them at work from stainless steel tubing and then taking carbon fiber that we use to make our ejection seat frames (scrap) and riveting them around the stainless. Then just welded the tips onto the muffer output tubes (removed the stock tips).
