R56 Mods Suggestions?
Are you looking for performance mods too? A rear sway bar and/or a front mount intercooler do wonders for the R56.
I once had black rims on my 1998 M3 in 2000. By 2001, people were already calling black rims played out... haha--that was 10 years ago.
The only suggestion I don't disagree with in this thread is lowering. Buy a decent set of coilovers and nice set of quality rims and you're set. Less is more.

The only wheels that are played out are those people who stretch their tires over fat rims and spinners are wayyyyy played out! LOL.
The mini has a lot of open glass so I would think a good tint is in order! I really feel the fishbowl effect when driving the wifey's car.

If you want help with what to do just start a new tread I'm sure you would get many people to give you some good advice on what to do. As for the car I love black rims as long as they go with the car and some window tint would look great it made a night and day difference with the look of my car.
agreed. Too much negativity. **** I Would do the labor for free for a fellow mini if you lived around me. Complaining gets old
yeah, sounds like you are bitter, and that is understandable. But it also seems like there is more to it than you are telling us. BMW is usually pretty good with honoring their warranty even outside the original period if there is truly a defect. You are not that far out of the period so unless you abused it, they would have probably taken care of you. I was 10k miles outside my warranty and BMW NA stepped in a fixed the defective intermediate levers of the valvetronic system in my X5 4.8is. That was a 7k fix job that they covered and I was the 2nd owner. They knew it was bad, I knew it was bad, and all I did was asked them nicely as a long time BMW owner if they could fix it. They said sure.
My guess is you ran it with low oil or you tached it (over-revved). Contrary to what people may think but these are not track cars. They are fun little econo sport cars. Even my M5 and M Coupe are not track cars. Can they be driven on a track? Sure! But IMO the only street designed track cars are the GT2 RS and GT3 RS. But then that makes them poor street cars LOL. Rarely can you have your cake and eat it too in the world of cars.

Are you 12? Based on your attitude your bad luck is beginning to look a lot like karma. Why don't you take your frustrations out on MINI rather than on the members of this board who are trying to be constructive?
Not to get this thread back on track or anything but I have two suggestions for the OP.
1) Tint the windows.
2) Paint all the trim (headlight and taillights) to match the car.
3) Black out the chrome beltline trim.
Okay, that’s 3 but that’s an inexpensive start.
