Last year the deal came up toward the end of the model year (leading into Sept). I'd suspect they would run it again, unless gas prices keep going up and so will sales.

Not a true answer, but my MA told me that those offers have been available for w a while now and he does not think they will go anywhere. He thinks they may even get better. Of course, he is a salesman.

Finishing up my order of my second Mini today. Payoff on my current one has been sent in and it will be going up on sale while I wait for the new one. The build process was so much fun the first time, can't wait to do it again. Hope this one is as great as my current one (an 07) has been.

We got a better % rate and free premium package in July when delivery was made, compared to what it was when we ordered. It's a crap shoot.

Does the MINI have any made in Japan parts on it? USA car lines are shutting down due to lack of Japan parts. (Nothing is truly made in America is it). Incentives are going away due to the Japan shut down.......

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the manual transmission is from Japan.

Yes, automatic transmission is an Aisin, made in Japan, also used in Toyota and Mazda and likely many others. Wall Street Journal article today says Japanese manufacturers should be up and running sooner than first thought and thus Japanese made parts and vehicles will only be in short supply for a few months. Of course, on the other hand, CNBC had a story yesterday that talked about all the Sony and Toyota plants that have been idled due to the earthquake and tsunami. As with most newsworthy topics, opinions vary.

I've been looking at buying a MINI for about a year now - and they've continued the free package and .9% interest rate for at least the last 12 months I've been in the market for a new car. I don't think that offer is going anywhere soon.

Are you sure they had it for the past 12months? I dont' remember it being that long.
But I hope you're right cause I need it to be there for May!

Looking at the days people have seen for shipping on their cars, my car might get here May 6....4 days after the April promotion ends.

The 0.9% was new in March and extended in April. In Jan and Feb it was 2.9% with free package. I don't know about previous months to this year.

For it to make it before May2nd, would mean its gotta finish production a day early, get to teh dock and on the boat the next day, and then the boat has to get on the throttle with good weather and get to port early. And then, they can try to ship it early and have the driver put the pedal to the metal.

I think Dec had 0.9% too, but not sure if it the package. But I"m locked into 0.9% already, but I really want that free package too. If Mini could just do it just one more time for May....
