Mark,

For some reason your pics do not show up when I am on the network at work (danged coporate security I guess). But now that I am home and see...well Oscar just looks simply awesome! I will try to get away next week one day and take a long lunch break and stop by the shop. I'll give you a call beforehand to be sure you will be around....I simply must meet Oscar in person!

Mark, The color looks GREAT! Black out the MINI emblems or something before applying them to complete the no-chrome look!!!

Now, if you have pictures, we might go with your comment.

Mark showed you his MINI, let's see yours.

Whacha got?

Actually Don, Ashley is a friend of mine. We've been painting his mini for the last year.

Everyone... welcome Ashley, he's a great guy and he'll be a great mini owner.

Though not a great pic, here is a teaser....

Looks terrific!!! You can be very proud of Oscar and the work you put into him. Labor of love I'd say, and the results show it.

Now time to change your signature

Is that properly white MINI I see??

Nice...always wished you could get a REAL white from MINI...not the dull, cream color that they offer (Pepper White).

Personally, that car would look great with a carbon fiber roof or just a black roof....with black viper stripes, black mirrors, and black wheels.

Ok, Mark, so what car went 7 hours to an RMW tune that didn't happen today?

Ashley, welcome, looks like your in good hands. When do you expect your MINI to be on the road?

Give us some history, 1 year, wow!

Mark, where is that 'on the lawn' picture?

None, I was making a comment that every time an RMW tune is suppose to happen around here, it doesn't. We were suppose to have one here in Thomasville and after almost a year, it finally happened. Then 6-7 months after the one in GA was suppose to happen, it didn't....

So I was making the point that the last two RMW tunes that I had my car tuned at, I had to drive 7 hours to one and 8-9 to the other.

Mark,

Did you get to busy? How is the final steps going with Oscar?

Waiting for that 'lawn picture' , I really want to see how low you dialed it down with the coil-overs.

I have been following the adventures of Mark and Oscar from the get go. Mark, you do truly awesome work. Its nice that you have your own business and the skill set and tools to do all this yourself. I am truly jealous.

I appreciate it, I've got some great guys that work for me. I had to rely on them much more than normal this time because I literally would start to work on something and the phone would ring or a customer would walk in.

There is nothing worse than being in the middle trying to install a part and getting interrupted only to forget where you were and leave something undone.

Besides, there is no way that car would have been done as quick if I had done it by myself...lol.

I'm still dialing in a few things, I had it completely detailed in and out. Last night on the way home I lost my power steering. I think it was just a bad connection but I'll verify it today.

All that is left is to get it corner balanced and install the rollbar. Other than that, Oscar is ready for his photo shoot...lol.

Your guys really did a fantastic job there Mark. It has been said before, but I'll say it again, it would be nice if Mini/BMW took a look at what you've done here. Kind of fun being the engineer, kind of what I am doing with the 38 Hemi Hotrod. It is slowing up a bit, but it's getting there. Ordered the leather, finally, this week. Light/bluish gray to go along with the Kona Blue.

On the Lil Guy Mini front, it's built, passed inspection late last night and will be on it's way to the dock. So, the first weekend in November looks likely, right on schedule, actually.

Hey Mark:

I know you are a stickler for details and have already thought of this, but just in case, I have to point out that your Mickey Mouse topper on the antenna is missing an ear. Should I make a run over to Disney and pick up a complete replacement, or would just an ear be sufficient.

With all the headaches your dealership has given you, I'm thinking they owe you a DSLR or something.

Get your self a Panasonic DMC-TS1 pocket camera. It is a point and shoot that takes great pictures and and it will do good (not great) HD video. Plus it is SHOCK and waterproof. Seems that is just what you need for what you do

Is it - On the road again? Pics?
