If this car is going to primarily be a track car and unless you're planning to run some 24 hour races with it, why bother with the Zenons?
If it's primarily a street car with occasional track use - then I say go for the Zenons - they are worth the effort and cost!
You are really moving ahead quickly with this Mark, well done!
Are you going to have to update you driving skills to go along with the improvements you made to the car? Maybe a high end car control course is in your immediate future?

Right now, yes, Oscar will be my daily driver until I decide to convert him to a dedicated track car.

Thanks, I have to.... I'm running out of vehicles to drive. Out of 4 cars and 1 bike, I have nothing on the road right now. Absolutely pathetic.

Well, apparently I need something otherwise I wouldn't have wrecked the car
Looking good. Are you the only guy working on the MINI or do you have some of the guys helping out?
Fast work.....
Don
Hell, I ain't doing any of the work...LOL.
Seriously, both of my shops usually stay SLAMMED. Last week when school started, things dropped off and I've only got not even a dozen cars in my main shop.
So, with me and 3 bodymen, 2 preppers, a detailer and 2 painters, we're not that busy...lol.
Ideally, I couldn't have picked a better week to do this project.
Sometimes it just works out that way....

EDIT: I'd like to add that I will be using a real camera instead of my iphone so ya'll can see the real color. For some reason, it simply comes out too bright and orangey.
This pic is the closest for showing the real color.
It feels strange to be envious of somebody that totalled their MINI, but I so am!! That orange is going to be outrageous. Of course, I wouldn't want to drop the cash that youre dropping. LOL.....
Wow, I go on vacation for a couple weeks and my first time back on NAM I run into this AWESOME thread. I can't believe how fast this is coming together. I love the color you chose, damn I wish I lived near you so I could see it in person. Thanks for sharing!
Outta curiosity, why not just go ahead and shoot the quarters along with the jambs to avoid paint lines in the jambs?
Can't wait to see the finished product and those coilovers look sweet!
Dale,
Hey bud... I normally like to do the jambs at the same time but the problem is if I paint the qtrs, the doors may not match. This color tends to darken up and I don't want to take the chance of it not matching.
