R56 Picture Request - Midnight Black w/ Sport Stripes
Picture Request - Midnight Black w/ Sport Stripes
Hey guys.
I'm dying to find a picture of a midnight black (astro black would probably do too) mini cooper s / jcw with sport stripes. I'm pretty sure the car would look better without any and those on this forum tend to agree, but I'd still like to see a picture of one with white or black stripes to confirm this.
If anyone has a picture or knows of one I'd be super appreciative.
Thanks.
Kevin

Off topic, but --- Eric, what's the chances that BumperPlugs might do some stuff for Minis instead of just Porsches -- I'm thinking specfically of things like a rear seat delete type rear treatment that might include color matching upolstery and a few other tweaks.
Thoughts?

By the way, when you say "Sport Stripes," do you mean the close-set pair that runs down the bonnet AND hatch? They're actually called Sport Stripes in the MINI parts list, and the wide-set bonnet-only pair are called something else.
I'm sort of planning to eventually put a set of the white Sport Stripes on my BRG Cooper S - they should look great with the white top, and I like the stripes down the hatch too.
Cheers,
Spridget

The wider ones are called bonnet stripes.
I think the sport stripes give it a more aggressive look and would be an awesome addition to the car. BRG and white is an awesome combo!
A question:
Are the sport stripes (the closely spaced stripes on the hood and the boot) a dealer applied accessory?
It appears that is the case at the website.
It also appears that the bonnet strips (the widely spaced stripes only on the bonnet) are factory installed.
I am leary of dealer installed stripes. They certainly did not last well on cars in the past made by other manufacturers.

They should be the same material as the ones applied at the factory and last as long. Maybe someone with them can comment.

Thanks for asking...we DO offer most of the Mini Cooper colors on our BumperPlugs line....but we don't do leather/vinyl/cloth products. We leave that to experts who do. Our expertise is painted plastic and rubber, and we've been working on a couple of Mini projects lately and hope to release some goodies soon.
In the meantime, there are tons of new colors we've added to the Plug products, so if you need 'em....get 'em anytime at the site.
Thanks!
Ok so anyone out there with a 5+ year history with the stripes to give me an idea how well they will do over the long haul.
FYI my current car is 17 years old and me previous car I had for 14 years so if my MiniCooper is not a lemon I probably will have it for 10 or more years.
