Does anyone ever reorder?

Hi guys...

As I've been counting down the weeks until my 2010 MCS comes in, I've realized how much I really love the painted arch look of the factor style body kit (which unfortunately I didn't order). I didn't realize that the factory aero kit comes with painted arches. Currently, my order is waiting to be loaded on a ship and sent across the pond.

Although I think I'll love it, I think I may love an aero kit much more, and I don't know what to do. I was just wondering if anyone ever does a reorder without the dealer making a mistake on the order? Is there a penalty? Maybe I'm just super compulsive from having to wait so long!

Any thoughts?

I re-ordered back in '07 to add LSD. My mistake. Check with the dealer if you made a deposit to understand their policies.

RE-ORDER TO GET WHAT YOU WANT!

If your leasing you can just live and learn for next time, but if you are buying i would get it right the first time!

Looks like you can now buy the better looking (subjective opinion of course) or at least more aggressive looking JCW Aero Kit with painted arches.

Most dealers would let you reorder without batting an eye as long as your original order is not some weird combination. I would imagine turnaround is pretty quick right now, so a new order would only add a few weeks to your wait.

Can they install the Factory Aero Kit? Has anyone had this done? I guess they can install anything but the price might be prohibitive since you would likely have to order each part individually through the parts dept.

In 2007, the factory aero kit was painted and installed at the distribution center after it was unloaded from the boat. It may be factory installed now, your dealer would know.

I believe the JCW kit is installed at the dealer or distribution center.

Call the dealer, ask them. I did, and they totally supported my re-order. You obviously want to do this, so call them ASAP and consider your options from there. If they support your decision (indecision?), then it's a no-brainer.

You're definitely not the first.

Well, the car is not your until you sign the papers. So I don't see why they wouldn't let you re-order one. All they're gonna do is sell the car you ordered to someone else, which is not a big deal unless you ordered options that are not desirable.

As for the painted arches, I did not care for them originally, but the one I bought off the lot came with them. Now I love them, and would not have it any other way!

Mine was definitely factory-installed.

The JCW kit is either port- or dealer-installed.

Some dealerships have sutobody shops attached. Yours may not but, I think that Tom Bush here in Jacksonville does. So, if all else fails if it makes it to the dealership they will be able to order the parts and install it. Overall having installed from the factory is going to save you a couple hundred bux but, you can reorder and wait longer or have it installed when you get it.
