R56 GP type spoiler DONE.... pics.
GP type spoiler DONE.... pics.
Almost done... here it is painted and mounted on the car. The spoiler hasn't been wetsanded and buffed only because I see myself repainting it in the near future.
For those that haven't been following my GP Spoiler thread, (click here for writeup)
It's gonna have to be cut up again to make it perfect... still has too many curves.
Here it is....

No, you're probably right...lol. I'm using my cell phone out in the parking lot. I'll take better pics when I redo the spoiler.

Wow, I just went back and looked... those are really crappy pics. Nothing like taking a pic of a black spoiler in front of a black background. DUH.
I'll take some more later.
Sorry.

The second set was much better. Looking at it I like the view from the boot, not sure about the thickness of the end pieces.
What curves are you taking out, if your going to do so?
Do you have a picture of the original on a clubman, so we can do a side by side compare or a three way with these two plus the Challenge car wing?
I don't think the pictures are doing it justice. Of course I think it would be better in MY as an accent to the black roof.

Looks great and I can really appreciate the amount of work that went into it to get to this point. On a side note be careful with those tinted license plate covers, got pulled over in NC last year and had my work truck searched on the side of I-40 all b/c of those damn covers.
Mark, your right, I'm going to send you a real digital camera (jk).

Don,
Here is a true GP spoiler.

Here is the original JCW Clubman spoiler I started with...

I didn't want to paint it MY because though I want it there, I didn't want it to be any more obtrusive than it is.
The ends aren't that thick. The end pieces are a bit triangular and get wider as they approach the car. Being all black, it may look "bulky". I'll take a closeup pic.
I'm still not terribly satisfied with it. I need it to be thinner and sharper angles.

Hey Mark, looks great and I know after you tweak it some it will look even better. I for one like the fact that is looks different from every position around the car. Nice Custom Work
