R56 WTF Cadillac
[quote=MichaelSF;2678440]Oh no, someone disagrees with MY point of view? I'm crestfallen.
You are right, having owned Mercedes (9), Jaguar (2), BMW (14), Alpha Romeo (2), Fiat (3), Datsun (3), Audi (12), VW (9), Nissan (6) , Toyota (6), Datsun (3), Nissan (6), Ferrari (1), GM (2), Ford (2), to name a few, I don't know enough about cars to say something about them.
Your choice in high quality cars is not that impressive....Jaguar, Alpha Romeo, Fiat to name a few...owing many cars does not mean you know a lot about cars. I have not owned as many as you but have built track cars, show cars and restored cars for many years. Hey its your opinion....your post didn't convey the point you were trying to get across....

Since the introduction of the R56 Convertible the commerical's out of date. Caddillac could only run that commercial for the short time that the R52 and Hybrid SUVs were both new, that's passed now.
Does anyone have a link to the video? My marketing professor hasn't seen it and was using dang near the same example in his lecture earlier today.

Sheesh.... who gives a rats behind about all this. Just my opinion from a consumer's point of view.

i doubt they will, why? so they can be more accurate or less misleading in their ads?
And who among their potential customers is going to know or care that the 2009 MCSC has significantly better fuel economy than the 2008?
If they do we should turn them over to a consumer advocate of some sort....just to see what happens. Most of these ads don't have that long a shelf life anyway, so it'll probably disappear one day soon.
we can only hope.
GM needs to do something about their marketing right now anyways, between this ridiculous Caddy ad, and Silverado ads that advertise features their truck doesn't have compared to the competition it's like they're trying to not sell anything.
I'm sure that the same people who think a $70K Hybrid SUV being used as a commuter car is a good idea will enjoy the pat on the back they get as they run over other small cars and think they're getting better fuel economy, it disgraces brand credibility to make such claims. Wanna be the American Standard of the World again? Go up against the Ultimate Driving Machines and other premium cars, that's your target competition and they actually stack up pretty well against them if you look at it the right way.
