HB or NFR

Ok, I've finally got it narrowed down to 2 colors with 15 days remaining before I place my order for my MC, and I'm in need of help. Its actually three config's:

1: Horizon Blue, matching roof, white sport stripes

2: Horizon Blue, black roof, black bonnet stripes

3: Nightfire Red, black roof, black bonnet stripes

This decision would be so much easier if they had the HB in the MINI dealership near me. I'm sure its asking too much for someone here to actually own one with the new HB color and post pictures, but if you do...

Right now I'm leaning to option 1, but anyone willing - please throw in your .02

I would order 2, but it's my opinion only...not a big white roof fan myself.

Are there any dealerships with HB cars yet? I don't think that its even been put into production yet?

I wouldn't be a fan of horizon blue with matching roof and white stripes. I think the white stripes only look good with white roof.

Given your three choices I'd be NFR with black roof/stripes. I just think the red and black is better than blue and black, I might even consider the more classic chili red and black.

My choice, however, would be HB with white roof and white stripes.

I'm afraid of the CR dulling after time like I've seen so often in MINI's around here. Maybe they just don't take good enough care of it?

Nah, my dealership doesn't have one yet in HB yet; maybe they can get some pics from one who does though.

You know, I see the blue with the white roof on the config, and I really don't like it. Looking around at the pics here though, I've seen lots with the white roof/blue body and it looks ALOT better. Hmm...

Anyways, thanks for the input. Keep em coming!

Bingo! Take care of your paint and it will look good longer than you own the car. Ask me how I know...

I'm a little biased, but I say NFR/B.

NFR with black roof. White roof only seems to work with Black/CR/BRG bodies. The others seem weird IMO

Hey, I'm resembling that!!!
LOL, It's all good though, from what I understand, MY with white roof is the rarest color combo for 2nd gen. Why, weird I am!

A friend of mine has a 2002 CR and it looks like the day he brought it home. If I were to do red it would be CR over NFR easy. Still a fan of HB and white.

Love my NFR/W! The black roof is nice too, just too dark overall with the Nightfire red for my tastes.
Plus, I had a "classic" Mini back in the '70's, red with a white roof just like the old BMC factory rally/race cars from the '60's. The NFR/W combo reminds me of that car.
Ahh, memories...

Well, I was leaning to the NFR, but then I decided to go with the MCS...and, well, that took care of that. I just ordered my first MINI! Specs:

Laser Blue
Black roof
automatic
black sport stripes
premium
sport
crown spokes
pacific blue upholstery

The best part about it is that I found this on the lot, and they are adding the sport stripes for free...AND I can pick it up this friday! I'm going to be adding mods later on (checkered flag side scuttle, black rims, carbon fiber scoop, carbon fiber rear thing-ie).

You'll love it!

My 2nd choice was Lightning blue/black, so I feel ya'.

Nice finding it on the lot, too. I had to wait 6 weeks for mine to be built. When I ordered (May '08) the dealer had none in stock, only his 2 demonstrators.
