New member with a couple questions...
Hi all. My name's Mark. I've been obsessing over MINIs for about 4 years or so. Now, at long last, my current car is paid off, and I'm making my dive in to MINI ownership! I'll be ordering her within the next couple weeks and had a few questions. I'm on a budget of about 25k, so seeing as how I want a pano roof and automatic, I'm limited to 'just' the MINI.
1. Does anyone here have the factory installed aero kit? Not the JCW which is beautiful (and expensive to install). Is it worth it? Can anyone post a picture if their MINI has one?
2. I'm having a seriously hard time choosing between the new black, NFR and horizon blue. Currently, NFR is in the lead seeing as how I've never seen HB in person and black is so common of a color for a car. Thoughts? Pictures of the new black or HB?
3. How do they handle in snow? (I live in cleveland ohio.)
Current configuration: NFR, black roof, black bonnet stripes (sport stripes, although I like them better, don't have that little white strip to set them off against the NFR), chrome mirrors, chrome gas cap, automatic, premium package, fog lights (front and rear), chrome line interior with piano black, and last but certainly not least checkered flag side scuttle. approx. $23,660...the rest will probably go towards the aero kit or better rims. Opinions DEFINITELY welcome!

Since your in Ohio, you might want to consider the Cold Weather Pkg and to keep the cost down maybe ditch the Chrome Gas Cap. The heated seats and mirrors will come in handy at times. Also the price for the Chrome Gas Cap doesn't include Dealer installation I believe. I think it requires a minor mod at the dealer so you might check what the "install" cost would be. You don't show the no cost optional all season tires in your config, unless buying seperate tires for winter, you will probably want the all season.

If you're not familiar with it, check out the Search function in the upper right. Using that, you should be able to check for many of the things you're asking about. 'Course you won't find many / any pics of the new colors, but you're bound to find people going through similar hand-wringing. (After all, that's what we're here for!)
As for the winter driving, that was one of my biggest concerns. All the folks who responded to this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ustaminis.html said they were great in snow especially with a set of dedicated snow tires. I've had pretty good luck this winter, my first with the MINI. I did get snows. My only problem, and it has been rare (though tonight, ironically) has been a little bit of a tough time with glazed snow and ice, but that's probably to be expected.

As I posted in a new thread, I went ahead and purchased my first MINI! 
I got the MCS, so no NFR. And I was too hesitant about not being able to see the HB, so I went with the other blue. Specs (sorry, if you've already read these in my previous post):
MCS
Laser blue
black roof
automatic
premium package
sport package (crown)
pacific blue upholstery
black sport stripes
Picking up this friday seeing as it was on the lot minus the sport stripes (which, by the way, they added for free).
