Jim is now two month old...

We already have well over 6,000 miles on him in two months without any problems what so ever. He has taken us on a 750 mile trip to Mayberry NC (Mt. Airy) where he averaged 41.1 mpg overall. Two days ago we got back from a trip to Washington DC, Gettysburg, etc. which was 1600 miles. We averaged 40.9 mpg overall. We also went to Mt. Vernon which was totally cool. George Washington rocks! Not a single gripe to report with the car yet. Thanks for listening.

I have had mine for about 4 months now, and I have just hit 6,000 miles the other day. No problems to speak of so far, except the hood scoop melting, and the passenger side wheel well material being a little deformed at the fender clip (Dealer fixed both issues though).

I also average between 38 and 41 MPG's, depending on how heavy my foot gets when motoring on the freeway. I do not even think I have filled my gas tank 15 times yet.

I wash my MINI more often than any other car I have ever owned in my entire life. It gets washed at least once every two weeks, but usually once a week.

It's always nice to hear a good story like this, since there are a lot of threads on "quirks" and lemons. Best of luck with your new Mini.

TC, glad to hear Jim has performed flawlessly and motored you to lots of fun in the last couple months. I got my O2B not too long after you and share your enthusiasm for the drive. The spirited driving and high mileage are great bonuses, eh? Hope things continue to go well for you--carry on!

Mine will be 3 months Oct 15, and have close to 3K on here, no issues and love the MPG!

I'm only an hour away from Chattanooga. I live in very rural McMinn (McMini) county. The twisties are all around me! Any other Minis in McMinn county? I'm between Etowah and Athens.

Why the heck did you name the car Jim?
Just curious

Jim

P.S. Why not Bill or even Steve?
