Whats up w/ my red warning light?

On my R56 S I have noticed the red hazard button on top of the speedo/dash spontaneously lights up. It will light up obviously when I burn rubber, or hard acceleration.
The other day it came on for no reason at all under perfect conditions. Do I have a problem? what gives

I'm gonna say it's some sort of traction control gizmo... though it is odd that it went off during perfect conditions. Where you cornering or driving straight?

I think you are confused. Your DSC light (icon) on your dash should be blinking under unstable conditions, not your hazard light.

It looks like this:

No, Im not confused The button you use to turn on your hazzards is the one Im talking about. It came on in a very short tunnel as well. The auto head lamps didnt come on but the Hazzard light did. Im very familiar with the DSC on my tach, thats not what Im referring to. In fact let me do some archive search and Ill put a video of the light coming on under hard acceleration... Oh and to burn rubber is to over rotate your tires, but I cannot recommend anyone do that and I cant talk about that on NAM because big brother is watching....I might get another infraction

Maybe there's a lose connection you need to get looked at. Mine's always on steady.

So here's my short clip. The odd thing is it stays on until I turn the car off http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...deoid=38338781

And I should say that I was NOT braking ANY Speed laws at all in this video. The "caution" voice is simply my Navi unit giving me the heads up.

Do the blinkers go on alone with it?

blinkers work, but I have to push the button. As it stands it was on this evening w/ headlights off as mentioned above by another post. Is everyones usually lit up regardless?
