Just Ordered!

Chili Red MC w/White roof and bonnet stripes, manual, Premium, Cold Weather, Convenience, DSC, White turn signals, chrome line exterior, front and rear fogs, xenon, sport seats with cloth.

NO budging on MSRP but I live midway between 5 dealers, so I tried to work that to my advantage at least to get SOMETHING. I got them to throw in both front and rear carpeted AND rubber mats, rear boot mat, the "BlackJack" side scuttles (installed), TWO "Let's Motor" chrome frames and the sun shade. Oh, and they also "waived" their "get ready" charge of $349 (what a crock!)

Dealer says 6 weeks to heaven!

You got some nice things throw in. I know you will enjoy the MINI when it gets here.

sounds like a nice MINI, have fun with the wait.... I am there with ya also. But i was told 8-10 weeks. I'm hoping he said that to make it seem sweet when it comes in 2-4 weeks early.

Yeah, I hear you. I'd rather be told 8 weeks and it take 6, than be told 6 and it take 8!

I was also told 8-10 weeks and I get the feeling it is going to take that long!

Don't forget the rear fogs. You'll be unhappy with the ridiculous blank toggle switch on the center stack......

Besides, it is an inexpensive safety fearure.

I guess I underestimated the importance of the rear fog....although I still don't think I'm going to add that to the car.

/me thinks about it.

Don't be silly...save that blank toggle for the ejection seats or the toggled tire blades when they come out...

Yep, it's ordered! Hate the way the car looks with the black "blank" where the fog light goes.

And now the other shoe. Finally got a live person at 866-ASK-MINI this morning, was told it's in production this week. Hooray! "What's the production week" I ask. I'm told "ask your MA, they'll know".

So, I email the MA who says "week 23, will start first week of June". WAIT A MINUTE...MINI told me this morning it'd start this week?!?

So call MINI again, and am told the same thing...week 23, first week of June!

AARRGGHHH! EXACTLY what I feared would happen, HAS happened. I've gotten my hopes up of late June delivery, and now there's no way that'll happen!

Traded voicemails with the MA today, her version is "6 weeks from when production is set up", not "6 weeks from the day you placed the order".

OK there's a BIG difference in those two dates!

Ok just talked to my MA today and ordered the rear fog light.....guess you guys got me thinking that the missing toggle would drive me nuts....apparently there are benefits of the car not set for production....

You will be glad you did. Not only for the missing toggle but to fill the void on the rear bumper. Take a look at one that doesn't have them and you can see the blank spots where they go. Not a good look IMHO.

Ordered my JCW on May 1st and because it is officially an 09 Model, won't see it inserted into the production order que til mid July.

I envy all you who will be driving your new baby's for a month or more before me.
