Sweet, looks like you covered just about everything!

One thing you might wanna give some consideration to are the white turn signals. Yes they're overpriced, but will be even more to do after the fact. Also they provide a much better look IMO.

Also if the OEM wheels are going to be your winter set anyway, you may want to consider the standard S-Winders. Lighter than the bridge-spokes, which is always a good thing.

Congrats!!!

I considered the turn signals, but I'm actually one of those weirdos who prefer ambers.

I understand the S-Winders are lighter, but I just can't get over their look... I just really really prefer the bridge spokes.

But thanks!

I also ditched the s-winders for bridgespokes in spite of the heavier weight of the bridges. I did not like the looks of the s-ws and really dislike having a hubcap as part of the wheel assembly. I even went to the dealership to compare them, hoping I would finally accept the looks of the s-ws, but it never happened.

I did go for the white turns, IMO looks really good on PW.

Well to each their own. On LiB it's probably not quite as necessary, but on PW the amber is just not a good look.

I also am not a fan of the S-Winders, so I can understand where you're coming from. Thankfully I'll be replacing mine with 17" aftermarket wheels in a week.

Best of luck with your MINIs arrival!

Cool, another Mini owner with a $30K plus Mini. The one I ordered came to $30,800 (got $500 off that price) and felt a little strange ordering a $30K plus Mini. There are two different school of thought for the Mini; keep it as simple as possible and load it to the gills. I guess we're in the loaded category. It will be my daily driver and only car, so I wanted to make it as nice as possible, especially since I plan on holding on to it for many, many years. Mine is a pepper white 6-speed S with premium, cold weather, sport, convenience, Xenons, LSD, nav system, park distance control, anthracite headliner, white turn signals, and rear fog lights. I can't wait to get my car!

Good luck with yours!

I've yet to order mine...but it's looking like I'll be ordering versus buying off the lot. Here's a quick question to those who have ordered. What $$ do most dealers require to secure the car?

Man, you really lucked out with your production week. Either that or I got the short end of the stick on mine. I ordered mine 4 days earlier and I'm in week 6! You built a really nice car.

I got the bridge spokes on mine too. Anybody know off-hand how much lighter the S-Winders are? Do they result in a noticeable difference in handling?

I shopped a bunch of different dealers and was told anything from $500 refundable to $2000 non-refundable. Really depends on the dealer's policy and how much of a problem it's going to be for them to sell it if you decide not to take delivery.

S-winder weight

other mini wheels

One thing I do notice that there seems to be no information on the actual moment of inertia for wheels. In other words, 2 wheels the same mass: one has more mass in the hub and thus has a lower moment of inertia and will accelerate faster than the wheel with more mass on its outer rim. Is the S-winder lighter in the hub or lighter on the rim? who knows?

Thanks everyone.

I think I lucked out on the production week because in the past month or so, the cars coming into the dealership had been coming sooner than expected, so they'd been easing up on their own orders for the floor, being slightly over-stocked.

Agree 100% about the wheels. Build looks nice, congrats on the order.

I'm waaay jealous of the production week though. I might be looking at week 7 now.

$500 at MINI of Fairfield County. Our MA Mark Smith let us change the order about a dozen times before production started. New Country MINI of Hartford wouldn't let us change a thing, so we nuked our order with them and then found MINI of Fairfield County. Make sure that your dealer gives you the right to change things after the initial order ... because the longer you hang out at NAM, the more great ideas and options you'll want to fold into your machine.

Looks like I'm on a pretty fast track here!

Ordered 1/18, production started 1/22, should be awaiting shipment by 1/28 according to 866-ask-mini.

Wow, that IS quick...looks like you ordered at precisely the right time. I hope mine starts production as quickly as yours did.
