MINI got me past security guard.

So, I just picked up my MINI the other day and am LOVING it. My sister calls it my 'spy car' because I have the NAV and she likes all the buttons and stuff that are in the interior. Today I felt like a spy going through a security checkpoint on my way to work.

I was driving in this morning and realized I had forgotten my employee ID. This is a total pain for me, because in order to get through security without that ID, someone has to go into a computer system and send an approval to the security guard for me enter. So, I ended up waiting at a nearby gas station while I called work and found someone with access to give me clearance.

Finally I found a secretary who put in the access and I drove over to the gate. I drove up and rolled down my window to explain the situation to the guard. He just took one look at my car and said, "Yeah, I remember you driving through yesterday. Just go on in." LOL! Nobody at my job believes it because they never let ANYONE through like that. Thousands of cars go through there every morning, but of course, he remembers my distinctive MINI out of all them. YAY MINI!

I was at the eye doctor yesterday. While I was waiting in the lobby, a few of the staff were looking out the window. Upon seeing Norton waiting for me outside, one guy said "Ooooh, that's one of those James Bond things!".

I've had a lot of cute car comments, but this was a first.

Sweet Story! However, mums the word at work though, you'd hate to get the guard into trouble for doing a nice thing.

Good point. I would hate to get someone in trouble just for their appreciation of my fantastic MINI.

Nice story.

But I'd be more impressed if you told us you worked at Area 51.
