Too late now as my Mini should be at VDC, but is there a difference?

Sport suspension is a paid option whether it is on a MC or MCS. Therefore, SS on a MC should have a 18mm rear swaybar. The standard MCS suspension has a 17mm rear swaybar.

The standard sway bars on the MCS are bigger than the MC, but the Sport Suspension is the same on either (1mm bigger than the standard MCS front and rear sways).

So, yes, an MC+Sport Suspension will be more suspensiony than a MCS+Standard Suspension, but the exact same as a MCS+Sport Suspension.

Thusly the difference between the standard and sport suspensions would be more pronounced in the Cooper.

Yes, one has sport suspension... and the other has a turbo.

So it sounds like I'm hearing that the actual parts and valving are the same between the MC and MCS IF the $500 sport suspension option is ordered... I guess the SS is kinda two steps above the standard suspension for a MC with a stock MCS being in the middle.

It should be lots of fun on 175/65 15s. I think DSC will be working overtime...
