Wierd fin thing on driver's side wiper blade

I searched and found nada, so please direct me to a previous post about this if I missed it.

I have this strange fin looking thing on the bottom of my driver's side wiper blade, but not on my passenger side. WTF is this? And why isn't this thing on the passenger side wiper? I'm very confused. :impatient

Yeah dude, that's just a spoiler that's there to provide downforce on the driver's wiper while you're driving

More pressure on the wiper = more water wiped off the window.

More important for the driver to see.

Passenger's only job is to hold on tight.

Hmmm...good idea. Then nobody can criticize my driving, if you didn't see me run the red light, well then I didn't do it!

It is to prevent wiper arm lift on the drivers side when the arm is vertical and near the side turbulance of the window. The passenger side does not need it as much as it is in the center of the windshield when it is vertical and the turbulance is more uniform there.
