Wierd fin thing on driver's side wiper blade
I searched and found nada, so please direct me to a previous post about this if I missed it.
I have this strange fin looking thing on the bottom of my driver's side wiper blade, but not on my passenger side. WTF is this? And why isn't this thing on the passenger side wiper? I'm very confused. :impatient |
Here's a pic of what I'm talking about...

Yeah dude, that's just a spoiler that's there to provide downforce on the driver's wiper while you're driving

More pressure on the wiper = more water wiped off the window.

Seriously? Huh. So how come there isn't one on the passenger side?

Passenger's only job is to hold on tight. |

More important for the driver to see.

Often better that the passenger not see...

It is to prevent wiper arm lift on the drivers side when the arm is vertical and near the side turbulance of the window. The passenger side does not need it as much as it is in the center of the windshield when it is vertical and the turbulance is more uniform there.
