What's with the "cute" comments...
Everyone that I have talked to (mostly women) always come back with the comment, that's a "cute" car.
Just yesterday, I was on the phone with the toll road office swapping my EZ tags and adding the MCS to my account. The lady askes me, what's a "MINI" so I go and proudly explain. She comes back, "yeah, from the Italin job; they are so cute"...
I say to myself, again?
I guess I never saw the MNI as a 'cute" car....do you get similar comments?

I guess that's the price you must pay for living in Texas, where EVERYTHING is big...but the MINI.

Better get used to the "cute" comments, andyde! We've been getting them, (and discussing them), since 2002, and I'm sure the original Classic Minis have gotten them since 1959!

It's just so weird, funny how people perceive it as "cute".
That tells me that they really don't know the car.
I bought this car because it was different and handles absolutely better than anything I have ever owned before.
Now the smart car coming out next year, I can't speak for it....
My MCS is a wolf in sheep's clothing, and I love that!

Almost all women who have commented on my MCS have called it cute. If the police see it that way, I'm fine with that.
I've always kind of liked the idea of a stealth hot rod. In high school (in a previous century) the talk was of dropping a V8 in the back of a VW bug or small Fiat and trying to make it look as stock as possible (except for the rear wheels, of course) then blowing the doors of GTOs.

Take it as a complement from women...

though my fun isn't raw hp, its taking turns fast and the GTO sucked big time in that regard (and sucked fuel like nobody's business).
It's kind of expensive for an economy car.
A colleague said he had seen Minis and thought they were cute, but could they keep up on the interstates?
I took him for a ride

"Cute" is a term of endearment. At least when I use it, it doesn't imply weak at all. I personally find "attractive" men "cute" and by no means does that mean he's not masculine (unless, of course I'm in SF and then its a crap shoot).

from guys I would probably want to hit them.
