Ready to show, Pics!
After 3 weeks of work and play, here's the (so far) finished new garage toy! I haven't been on my motorcycle since she arrived. H&Rs, Alta 22mm rear sway, 18" Enkeis with 215/35 General UHPs. Focals in the doors(too lazy for the rears). Softer than the stock 16s and totally hooked up ride. Couldn't be happier.
Mgibrace,
Nice job, looks very nice and low. why the 22 and not the 19? Got any pictures of the bar installed?
Looks like a killer MINI, I would think twice if I pulled up at a light and revved my engine.

Old, I did the 22 cause I'm an oversteer kind of guy. Old Porsches are fastest that way and it's what I race. If I get it up on the lift, I'll take some pics, tho you can see it thru the wheels.
msh, not sure. Stock brakes, 10/32nd tires and knowing the fast way around PR (I've got some class records) sounds like a potential melt down in something! I'm not good a babying. Plus, only 600 mi on the thing. Maybe next time?

msh, you may be right...
opass, Never drove a 986 S, tho maybe one for my wife in the next year or so when she tires of her wrx. I've always been a 911 guy. The mcs feels much lighter than any of my previour 911s except when I had the early ones; 67-71. Light, quick side to side, good brakes, but I expect the p brakes to last longer than the mcs on the track. Accel better in the mcs. Still getting used to the front drive vs rear drive. asfa the later 911s go, the mcs is lighter, quicker, but the porsches keep accelerating long after the mcs runs out of steam(on the track). The mcs has better hvac than any 911 variant I've had, but the 964 was as late as I've owned. Had a 996 for a day or 2 and that had good hvac, but was relatively heavy. Realistically, I still believe that every Porsche ever built is a race car, or damn close. BMWs are great street cars, but need a lot to stand up to a track day the way a Porsche can out of the box. That said, every BMW street car I've owned has been comfortable, great hvac, decent/good stereos, ie, nice to drive around on any street/road/highway. All the things that Porsches aren't, at least the ones I've owned. Maybe the 993, 996, 997s are better in the comfort department, but I don't think so. When you factor in the cost, mpg, ease of use day to day, I'm really happy with my mcs. It's only the 3rd new car I've ever owned. I'm thinking I get double the gas mileage(at least), 1/3 the cost(at least), and 90% of the street performance.
Lots of other mcs owners here are previous Porsche owners and they may better ideas on the last 10 years of Porsches. An old race buddy has a 906 and drives an mcs.
Just my thoughts. Hope I haven't offended any of my Porsche buddies.
