I ordered my Mini last night from Brain Harris Mini in Baton Rouge. No production number yet, but that's ok as I'm about to go on vacation anyway. As far as Mini's go it's rather a sparse one but I'm looking forward to getting it in any case.

And that's it. I gave thought to the 10 speaker setup and the auto air but in the end the 6 speaker sounded pretty good and I can run the AC on my own. That saved me $1000 so it was a relatively easy decision to make.

Ordered mine last night as well, from Mini of Omaha. Mellow Yellow/ Black MCS. Sport package, Cold Weather package, LSD, Sport suspension, MFSW. ETA of early September.

Besides it gives me more time to make a larger down payment when it finally does arrive.

 

That's exactly what we used the waiting period for, a much larger down payment. The dealership is not going to be too happy on that note. It cuts into the cut they receive when buyers use their offered financing, which I'm not either (found much better rate on-line).

I feel you on that one!! If I hadn't totaled my 05 mini I would have waited until November and ordered a clubman like I was going to originally and saved up a few grand to plop down. O well, I'll only have to wait 2 extra years to get a clubman. But, by that time they may have an even newer model on the horizon. Can't wait to see your mini once you get it. You should be able to call Brian Harris 5-6 days after you order and get a production number then you can start calling ask mini or track your car at ol.miniusa.com.

 

I ordered mine on 7/28 and just got my prod number today. I don't know if I can wait for the car, the last two days have been painful, but in a good way.

I got Lightning Blue/Black hood with Black stripes. 17" web spokes, premium, sport and hyper-sport packages. Then thru in the LSD too.

Congrats to all the fellow mini owners (or soon to be owners). I need the support group to get thru my wait for Zipster.

 

I don't know why people always say that. Rasmussen didn't give a rip when I came in with two cashier's check for the entire payment, half of it from me and the other half from my credit union.

When I had earlier told them my credit union was offering a better rate than Mini financing, they were supportive of me taking advantage of the better deal.

They were more than happy that I was buying a car from them and driving it away.

 

Oh it's going to be beautiful.. We'll all be here waiting for the delivery day and pictures...
