Where can I buy Union Jack Mirror Covers?

Hello all -

I am looking to buy Union Jack mirror covers for the outside mirrors of my 2007 non-s cooper. Does anyone know of a good place to find these online, or are they available from my Mini parts department? I want replacement covers, not stickers that go on the factory covers!

I am having a hard time finding out if the mirrors from the 2002-2006 mini's are the same as the ones on the 2007 mini...a lot of sites don't speficy which years the covers fit for, and I don't want to order them without knowing for sure if they will fit. If an OEM part is available, I would be willing to pay the cost of that if necessary.

Also, while I'm at it, we have the factory driving lights installed on our car...so if someone knows where I can get Union Jack covers for those as well, let me know! Thanks in advance!

You should be able to get them from your dealer. MiniMania also have some that will fit the 07. The 02-06 covers will not fit on an 07. It looks like they run 156 from MiniMania.

That is quite a price difference between OEM and after-market. Surprising with the cheaper price being OEM from the dealer . I knew they had them because they are an option while ordering but I didn't look up the pricing.

Hi coopo-
You might also want to consider mybeautifulmini.com. I ordered my set of charcoal/silver Union jack covers and they shipped fast from the UK and I love mine. They carry some custom variations as well.

good luck!

It's $56 for each side, so $112 for the pair.

There is a search feature on this forum. Searching on "mirror caps" would take you to the Mirror Cap Install thread.

You need a 2 long flat head screwdriver and/or a puddy knife.

There are either 5 or 6 tabs. I forget, 3 on top, 2 on bottom, or 3 and 3.

You will see them on the ones you have in your hand.

You have to pry the plastic clips apart. I broke one doing on the first one, and none on the 2nd one.

You will need something to hold the mirror back before you get more then 3 clips undone, it wants to snap back to the mirror.

move the mirror itself, as far as you can out of the way, you have to insert the screwdriver or puddy knife between the mirror and the casing.

Just pop the mirror out period...pops right off and right back on when you're done. Just gotta get the angle right. Took me no more than 5-10 mins total (it's been a couple months) to do both sides.

See the Mirror Cap install thread. Popping the mirror off is the better way. Less risk of breaking tabs.

I don't much care for the sarcasm in the first half of your response, but i really appreciate you providing me the link in the second half

THanks to everyone in here for all of the help and the quick responses! I ordered the caps yesterday from Mini of Towson, and I'm gonna surprise the fiancee and install them on our Mini before she wakes up one morning
