In port - changes occurring, need help

Bambina at VDC Info budget slighty extended.

1. Alarm: if installed there falls under Factory pricing, or wait after financing and get dealer installed at labor cost. (thinking now 4 insur. purposes)

2. Ipod Adapter: same as above, don't even own ipod yet & thinking os getting iphone after work out issues.

Will I even feel the increase for these products being added to my financing or is it not worth worrying about?

3. JCW spoiler: Is being added there and more than likely the side skirts. (pricing unknown, however figured would be more to have done later)

4. *CLEAR BRA: @ $500. is it really worth it? It's expensive, and want to know your experiences w or w/o it. esp. living in Houston.

* if added what happens later when I want to add stripes, or maybe jcw front end as I can't even think of getting them now$$ ?

5. Wheels on order will be delivered b4 car gets to dealer. (Slightly extended budget)

Thanks in advance

"Don't even own an IPod" and you want to spend over $400. Wait and see. I own an IPod and don't see $400 + for its functionality. However, if you have Nav maybe the story would change. Remember, you have an aux connection that already comes with the car. Clear bra. How are the quality of your roads? Have you seen it on a car that is the same as yours? Some colors show bra lines more distinctly. I've had on my Audi which is dark blue, and the bra lines really show. I didn't get clear bra this time on my R56. You should check with your MA on the side skirts. My dealer here charges almost as much for skirts as the whole JCW package. Check with your insurance carrier. Mine does care where the installation takes place.

Um, this thread confuses the crap out of me. Are you asking questions? Are you telling us what you want to order? Are you asking what is installed at the VDC? I don't get it.

^^ditto...if you already ordered this stuff then it's going to be installed at the VDC or the dealer. If you're thinking about adding it later, then you can do it yourself or pay the dealer the labor to install it. Every $500 you add the to amount financed will increase your payment roughly $5-9 depending on the interest rate.

Asking if I should order and have installed at vdc for factory pricing instead of dealer price + labor.

I-pod already cancelled. $400 too much. Still waiting for update on alarm, JCW spoiler n side skirts.

Main concern is the clear bra. $500.00 installed now, 700 installed a month later.

Thanks again Guido

I'd pay $400 for the iPod Integration. For me, it will be $600 if I spring for it. I'd like to leave the iPod hidden, control it with the MFSW, and see playlists on the NAV screen. It is also claimed by someone who got it that the integration sounds better than going through the AUX.

I would go for the factory or VDC install on anything you are going to want eventually.

The clear bra does interfere with stripes. If you put the bra over the stripes there will be a space water can get in under the bra at the edge of the stripe. You can't really put stripes over the bra because of the bra edge.

Pesonally, the JCW spoiler doesn't do anything for me. The style of the MINI just isn't compatible with a wing.

A clear bra is not installed at the VDC, nor do they generally install it at the dealer. In most instances, they farm it out to third party installers in their area.

I would recommend checking to see if their is a Venture Shield distributor/installer in your area and get it from them. You'll probably save about 33% of what you'd pay having it "dealer" installed and it has a lifetime warranty versus the dealers 5 year warranty.

If I had the nav system it wouldn't be a question.
