OMG... you go to Omaha for a wedding and come back with a 2nd MCS? Off the lot? Is the new one for the Missus?

Give us details.

Congratulations.

Very nice Mike.

Two questions:

What does your graphic represent?
How difficult was it to apply?

+0.5
Is that a Star Trek docking code?

I assume the black pieces were separate, so the hard part would be getting them straight, right? Or, is that black on a white background, covering the whole area?

When I saw it I instantly thought, "hey- I know that..." then it took me a couple minutes to decrypt it and thought, "that's ********* awesome!"

DING DING DING!!! We have a winner!!!

The graphic is the "Glyph" from the movie "Blade".

It's the symbol for Deacon Frost. The bad boy vampire played by Stephen Dorf.

It was done by Mike at A/C and was pretty painless to install. Solid white with the markings printed on it in black. Arrived as 2 pieces, the front and the rear.

Install took about 1 hour, basically peel, spray roof and back of vynil with soap/water. Move to position, spray the back again with water/alcohol on one side and tack it in place, continue process till the whole thing is down.

Another fun night at Blair's

I will post a picture later this eve, just drove in an hour ago. We came the long way back via Hwy 6/34 through McCook for the drive and to look at a little property near Arapahoe, NE. Nice but not what we want to develop.

Looks like we will have to pursue some property in Estes which has been in the back of our minds for years.

So new MINI and nice Glyph

Mike, great graphic, I have watched the movies, you have an eye for detail. Now I think I begin to understand. The exhaust looks sanitary, did you kill the second cat and muffler?

Here is my new mini MINI. It even came in a nice package. Check out the MINI Omaha album in my picasa for some more interesting pictures. I really do like what they did with the little MC, wheels and H&C Graphics.

Nice thought, but NO! I did get a new MCS table model. The Missus actually like it enough to put it on display over the TV in the family room, I'm working on the 2nd full size one.

Ya had me going on this one. I'm trying to imagine a full sized Mini on a hardwood floor in that color. Reel me in trollers. I'd buy one of those models if I could find one though.

Three and a half days without any posts in this topic! What is the world coming too?

Lets see, the updates for what has been going on with me. My 10 year old puppy is still doing well. She had a check up last week. The vet said she looks about 3 weeks further along than she actually is. She has about another 3 weeks left before we can start exercising her to build the muscle back up. We were told we were model parents.

My MIL should be taking delivery of her MCSa in 3 weeks (it's onboard the Asian Emperor headed to Port Hueneme).

Demi will participating in the half time festivities at local high school's football homecoming game tomorrow. A group of us were asked if we would volunteer to drive around the homecoming court. We were also invited to participate in their parade.

I think that is about it for now. Mike, Tigs, how is being smoke free going? I hope you are still sticking with it?

Cool sunroof graphic, Mike. Thanks for explaining it. I was a bit worried you'd start speaking to us in Klingon. I mean, I know it's hard to keep up with a crazy like me...
Anyway, I am glad you're happy with the tinting as this is one of many items (mods mostly) on MR MRMAN's wish list (an actual printout now). And no, hon, I haven't made up my mind since I just saw your list yesterday.

Good your not driving, we are getting a little dusting of snow locally. What's going on in Raleigh (work?).

Seems a little quiet around here, I suspect work and almost winter has overtaken everyone.

SimpsonGI, remember to post some pictures of the MIL's new MINI. It is good your pup is doing so well.

VictoriaH, there is a 'list' for mods (wish list)? What's on it? You saw Deacon's list, too. You really have to share!

I'll put together a separate post with photos of the construction, when I get time.
I've posted photos of the construction over in the Interior/Exterior Mods forum.

I'm with Don, I'd also like to see people's mods lists.

Emily, good luck in Sir Walter, NC. Hope all goes well with the job.

SimpsonGI, you get any pictures of the MINI celebrating on the football field, sounds like some fun.

I was running out time before I left and forgot to take my camera. However, we did have someone in the group taking some pictures. Here is a link to the group website where the pictures are posted. There were some other pictures taken from the last car in the line as we were driving around the track but they haven't made it onto the site.

Great pictures of the MINIs gathering for the event, it looked like you all were dressed for some wet and cold weather.

I took the time to look at the Crater Lake event pictures, all I can say is yummy. I will have to go visit that area with my wife on one of our NP trips.

Any good places to stay around Crater Lake that are old and historic, but 4 Star?

Hmmm...probably the best bet would be the Crater Lake Lodge. Here is link to it a write up about it on Yahoo.

Gary, so glad that your pup is on the mend, and that you're alive and on NAM. Your absence was felt.

It was interesting at the airport. It was snowing as the plane was boarding, which resulted in us having to get queued for de-icing before we could take off, resulting in the flight being almost an hour late (but I'm better late than sorry ). What a contrast in weather yesterday. SFO = overcast and a high in the 70's, DEN = snowing, RDU in the 80's.

Thanks, I was up at 3:30am PST for the flight, stayed up to 3am EST preparing, and just got up again at 6:30 EST.

Got to go find coffee.
Must find coffee!
Need to find coffee!! :impatient
Where is the coffee?

I don't know about nice places to stay, but I recently did a 5 day motorcycle trip up there. If you'd like to know some beautiful windy roads, let me know. I'd love it if we'd be able to meet up when you come out here.

For those of you who are far afield, there are a lot of brush fires in So. California. Many are around San Diego. It was posted in the the off topic forum that "Mike and Tig are getting out, and heading towards the ocean." It's not clear whether they were evacuated (250K people were) or just looking for more breathable air. I hope they are OK and their home is safe.

You can get more info on the fires from http://www.latimes.com/

There is a Google Map with all the fires pinpointed.
