Emily, still lovin it? Makes me want to hunt down a custom shop here in Colorado. Guess it is time to ask some local questions.

Robin, nice work, I like the detail in your box. With those six by nines right over your shoulder you keep the volume real low, right?

The rear seat delete you have done really opens up the possibilities for some great road trips and long ones too.

Nice to see Mike, Tigs and DB planning and getting a little of the old nuttyness back into the thread.

Emily, your right! What happened to Gary? I am amazed you remember a 2 month anniversary of someone elses MINI, wonders never cease to amaze me.

Still having trouble with my sleep cycles, I really have to force myself back to normal sleeping. :impatient

I called and asked about the Dynamat on the floors and got confirmation that both the driver and passenger side were done (I already knew that the boot and back seats had strategic placements). The passenger side is all the way up under the dash, the drivers side is up to in between the pedals.

H3LL YEAH!!!!! Loving it.

Its so quiet that I can be going 65+mph on the San Mateo bridge (10mile bridge across the SF Bay) to/from work and have it on min volume and still hear it. I may actually be able to use a non noise cancelling bluetooth headset and still have people understand me.

I can also turn the volume all the way up and get no screeching or buzzing, just clean crisp sound.

Nice to see Mike, Tigs and DB planning and getting a little of the old nuttyness back into the thread.
Agreed... I've missed it.

I sent him a PM the other day and haven't heard back yet. I hope he's ok.

The reason I remember the day he picked up his MINI is that we were both on the Isolde and he took Demi home the day before I brought home Sam.

Still having trouble with my sleep cycles, I really have to force myself back to normal sleeping. :impatient
Hopefully you'll get back to normal soon. Sleep issues suck.

Oh, to listen to sounds at 65 on min volume, your installation would solve my issues with my base system, yes.... Guess I have to go shopping.

Pretty back to normal, I had to force myself up at 8:30 this AM, it will work out. My wife says I'm being lazy.

It's the Columbia holiday weekend--a nice long weekend. Maybe they're out motoring all weekend long?

As an aside: Has anyone heard a peep out of Gary? Seems to be MIA (or he just doesn't love us anymore). If you're out there Gary chime in. Also have a happy 2nd month-a-versary with Demi.

I have been MIA a bit haven't I? It's been hectic at work and I haven't really had much spare time recently. I've also had to reinstall the OS and software on my PC due a failed system image restore.

I'm glad to see Don made it home from China without any incidents, I enjoyed all of your pics. Your sound mods look great Emily and I bet it sounds even better than it looks! Robin, I wouldn't even want to consider tackling the sound mod you've been working on. It looks like you are doing a fantastic job with it though!

Mike, Tigs, it's been a little over three weeks now. It only gets easier now. They say it takes 21 days to break a habit. I'm very proud of you for sticking with it, keep it up!

I made hotel reservations for AMVIV several weeks ago. Hopefully all of you will be able to make it to the event!

My pup is still doing well. She hasn't had a check up since I last posted about her progress. She has an appointment this Thursday. It'll be 7 weeks since her surgery. For the most part she is almost always putting her weight on the leg and isn't limping anymore. We should be able to start rehabilitating(excersing) her in a couple more weeks.

Oh, my MIL's MINI is at the Southampton waiting for next weeks ship. If her timeline follows what mine was, she should take delivery around the weekend of Nov 9th-12th.

Hopefully I won't be so scarce, but am thinking of my NAM family!

What you are politely trying to say is that you have a life. Glad everything is OK.

I'm in Los Angeles for a high school reunion. Wow, what a surrealistic event. Never been to one before. Strange to see all those people after so much time has passed.

Oh, wait. SD, SF, Oregon... Oh, you weren't asking about me.

Oh, you know I was too!

I went to my HS 40th, it was different, folks I had heard who had passed along showed up and others all looked older than me.

We're here. Was out and about all weekend long. Had a month's worth of errands to run on Saturday - Deacon got a new exhaust and a new set of tires.

And then on Sunday West Coast MINI ran the annual Brecht Ralley and ended up at the Coronado Speed Festival. Good times, good times.

Although...I'd like to file a complaint. It's Columbus Day...and for some reason *I* do not have the day off.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaary Good to see you! Sounds like things are hectic, but in a not-so-bad kinda way.

Mike and I are all set for AMVIV. We'll definitely be seeing you there!

Hi all...

Yeah busy busy weekend.

Saturday Deacon got an exhaust adjustment. Not a new system but custom tips and a muffler removal. Just wanted a more aggressive sound I'll try and get a clip up later.

After that I headed over to my tire guy for new rubber. Can't really talk about them a lot as it's research. So far so good though.

Also got my sunroof Vynil from Mike at AC. I have to say he did a great job with the custom work and the cut was near perfect. Again I'll try and get some pics a little later in the day.

Hope everyone is doing well... back to another hectic day at the office finding the most backwards solutions to problems that should not exist.

Complaint Dept here! Only way to get this day off is get a Gov. job. or retire.

Good to see both you and SDMike keeping busy with the MINIs and fun things to do. Did you take any pictures of the events?

Mike, what tires did you put on Deacon? Guess I should read your next inline post. :impatient

Gary. So glad you checked in. Figured you were busy, but you had me concerned.

So your mother in law is getting a MINI too. Very Cool!

There were a couple of HS reunions for me this year as well, local, but I didn't go to any of them.

Oh, wait. SD, SF, Oregon... Oh, you weren't asking about me.
Technically I wasn't in that either, but I wasn't going to pick nits. You know he meant you and me Robin.

Hmmm, been pondering AMVIV. Never been to Vegas. Would like to meet y'all in person...

I skipped the commercial one that was for the whole year and went to the private one just for our class. I figured I needed to go to one once in my life to see what it was like.

Technically I wasn't in that either, but I wasn't going to pick nits. You know he meant you and me Robin.
If people didn't pick nits, NAM would have very little traffic.

Hmmm, been pondering AMVIV. Never been to Vegas. Would like to meet y'all in person...
I went there once to shoot a cover for a software game. I felt like I had walked into a Firesign Theater album. A good place to go if you feel the need for more surrealism in your life.

I need to find out more about what goes on at AMVIV. Is AMVIV the main MINI event in the West?

Cool. Mods. (I see Deacon got his circumcision)

Pics, pics, pics, pics!!! Where are the pics? You promised pics

Pics will be up in a few couple hours

Tires... for those that are interested.

Dunlop Direzza Z1
Temp A Tract A Wear 200

Rated the same as the Falken Azeni RT-615s I had been running.

So far they seem to be doing suprisingly well. I did a 150 Mile run through the hills in San Diego, Thursday on the Azenis, Sunday on the Dunlops. There was a noticible difference in the Dunlops not getting "greasy" at all where the Azenis did. As I get mroe time and am able to experience the tires in different conditions I will post more.

That depends on which bay you are talking about. I'm not far from Monterey Bay.

Oct 14 on the road

Hi All,

Found some open Internet access here in Omaha, so posting a note. It has been days since the last promise of pics. What goes with the pics, Mr. Mike. I hope all is ok.

We attended a great wedding in Omaha, big party last eve in a great downtown hotel, nice sit down dinner. We will be hitting the road later today.

I bought another MCS at MINI of Omaha on Saturday. That is a nice dealer facility.

Pictures when I get on a steady internet hookup.

Mike, where are those pictures of your exhaust tips and your new graphics?

Off to have breakfast with all the family before we pack up the car.
