WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- A 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck in the South Pacific 30 miles (45 km) southeast of Santo, Vanuatu, the U.S. Geological Survey says.
The quake was at a depth of 107.3 miles (172.7 km), USGS said. The epicenter was also 1,240 miles (1,996 km) northeast of Brisbane, Australia.
"Based on all available data a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami not expected and there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii," read an advisory from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

we're still here! No threat of tsunami. It's going to take more than a little earthquake to keep Mike from getting his MINI on-time.

I just figured the earthquake was caused by a harmonic created by Mike's pacing.

 

Vanuatu is a very long way away. The Pacific is a big pond.

It's the eruptions of methane gas in the Bermuda Triangle that Mike needs to worry about. They come up as a mass of bubbles, lowering the density of the water, and can swallow a large ship before there is time to send a mayday.
