Ah darn it Emily, now look what you started. I can't get that darn song out of my head now .

Carmen Update

Here is the latest info on the Carmen. It looks like she is updating the weather information on a more regular basis now. At least no recent skipped times, she's been sending in the data every six hours. And she's been making steady progress of around 114 nautical miles every six hours.

The extra cool thing about WCM is we have no dues or officers. We just have FUN....

I have noticed that , now that I'm an official member, the only thing I can say is, it would be nice if I was closer to the group so I could participate in the events.

I am hoping to make it to AMVIV next year though and possibly meet up with you all on your Montery adventure

I enjoyed browsing the pictures in your gallery. Your's is I think the first LiB/LiB MINI I've seen other than in my configurator. I like it and can hardly wait to see it on my baby.

Where did you find the clear shield? I've only see the black 'sticker' shield and the rubber MINI one.

Thanks! I believe I got the protector from Minspeed. If not on their website, Moss Mini, maybe? I am pretty sure it's Minspeed. Be careful, though. They have two pics on their site showing the "clear" one, but one is really the black one (or so they told me). They also have the black one shown though.

And, no doubt, when the ship docks, mike better get back under his desk because a certain captain on a mission aims to track him down....

Hello All!

Wow! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread the past couple of days. Let meintroduce myself, my name is Elijah and I live in Germany. I am going in on Saturday to pick up my 2007 MCS (AB, cloth, chrome interior and exterior, sport package and Hi-fi). This has been one of the more entertaining threads I have read in a long time. A lot better than some of the BMW boards I was a part of.

Mike,
I totally feel your pain! Hang in there!

Tig,
You have got to be one of the more understanding women on the planet! and you love Minis too! Such a plus! Can you talk to my wife please!! About the Mini not the understanding part. She allowed me to purchase a MCS afte ronly having my 2006 MC for a little over a year!

I never really knew the mania that surrounded the Mini. It is soooooooooooooooooooo cool!

Once again thanks for the entertainment, ya'll have made my day.

Oh yeah if you're curious TEEAM stands for Toni(my wife), Elijah(me), Elijah(my son 33mths), Alea (my daughter 3 mths) and Micah (son 19 months). Yes the children are close in age. We didn't have a Mini back then, so we had a lot of time on our hands. Guess how we filled it.

Wow, what a coincidence.... You got a son with the same name as you. I can never find anything with my name on it (except for nerds in movies). Welcome!

Welcome to our thread It's a tiny bit of escapism, and a huge bit of friendship, humor, fun, support, and wisdom <--ok, that part about wisdom might be stretching it.

Congrats! on your new MCS!! Be sure to post lots of pics. We like pics! Mmmmm...pics!!

Germany, eh....<slobber>...the autobahn. Have you driven it? How fast?

I love your NAM name!! Family is everything.

I'll be happy to speak to your wife about MINIs, men, mods, and succombing to the dark side. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!!

She had a playmate we lost to a brain tumor a few years ago, Maggie would have been 12 this July, she was a redhead Golden, she was a super sweet dog and a real swimmer. Love them both, but miss Maggie. We are thinking about another puppy, but we may adopt an older shelter Golden, if we find the right match.

My Maggie is a 13yr old puppy and is my baby. She's gotten even cuter over the years with the gray on her face.

Welcome to the madness Elijah.

So you read the whole thread? It is an interesting cast of characters isn't it? Fun group of people I've never met but would like to.

I agree on the MINI mania. If you've thoroghly read this thread you'll know what a POOM is. Are you a POOM?

This thread has been making my day for every day for quite a while.
