MADAME BUTTERFLY June 2007 Transit

According to the WW site, my car was "loaded on vessel" aboard the MADAME BUTTERFLY on June 11th, 2007 at 13:22. The ship departed from Southampton about 14 hours ago and is just now entereing the Atlantic Ocean. It appears that it won't be possible to track the ship using the sailwx.info site as there have not been any past positions ever posted. Maybe the ship isn't equiped for those reports. It may very well be that the next confirmation of its position will be when it passes through the Panama Canal on or around June 23rd.

I guess all of us aboard will just have to wait out the next two weeks, three if we all miss the canal passage

Congrats on making the ship!

I missed it. It looks like I might have to wait around until the 25th to catch a ride now.

The W2 global site shows me booked and received at the terminal for Madame Butterfly, but it doesn't say loaded on vessel so I may have just missed it! :(

Mine is awaiting transport too...so looks like I missed the ride on Madame Butterfly. Is it the Owner's Lounge that tells you this information or another site???

Rover, you may be able to see the Madame Butterfly as the Maersk Wind hadn't done any reporting on previous voyages and is now calling in every 6-18hrs. Congrats on not missing this one.

Thanks, Mgibrace. How long was it after the MAERSK WIND departed that you started seeing position reports?

Well after some minor digging around I just found out I was booked on the Butterfly! And I am in the same boat as rover.

I want to thank Ex-Pat Brit for providing the link that gives the info I needed!!!

http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do

All you have to do is get your vehicle Vin#, click on the link above, choose Auto Cargo, plug the number in and it gives you the info!!!

I have been booked for a while now. But I don't understand how the boat I was booked on could set sail without loading my car!!!:impatient If your status is "booked" not "loaded" your car is probably still at the dock awaiting transport.

For those that show they are booked on the MADAME BUTTERFLY, does it also show a "received at terminal" line? or just a "booked" line?

By the way, OL still shows my car as "awaiting transport".

I still don't show up on WW site at all, and both my MA & AskMini say that I am AT THE DOCKS, waiting to board a ship...unknown vessel at this point. :/

Lady Aquila, don't give up hope. If one of the other posters has the booking # for the Madame Butterfly, you may find your vin in the list. WW never showed me my car as loaded even after I found it via booking #. Plus the OL and askmini are 3 days behind. Not sure about your MA updates. If you made the docks a day or 2 before the Butterfly flew, you should be on board.

I just can't believe that only two of us actually made it onto the MADAME BUTTERFLY. When the ship departed, many of the VINs included in the booking number only showed "received at terminal" but now they all show "loaded on vessel". Here's the WW booking number my car is associated with so you can search the list for your VIN and see if you are indeed on the ship after all. I see some loaded as late as 16:27 on 6/11.

I made it! The WW site just today showed that my car was loaded on the vessel on the 11th of June, for some reason it just took 3 days to show it on the online tracker. Looks like it'll be a small but close group

Once the car reaches port, about how long does it take to get to the dealer?

Madame Butterfly too!

Loaded on 11/6/07 13:46.

MCS SS/W #1,#2,#3, DSC, NAV, HK, SS, HD Radio, iPOD, Sirius, Bonnet stripes, White taillights, Rear Fog

Funny thing is the Cargo page shows loaded, Voyage page shows red for departing on 11/6 also but OL still says "Waiting Transport". Even though it got to the terminal on 4/6 and the booking GBSOU542808 shows "Sparky" got on with a bunch of his buddies....

Weird, huh?

Anyway, next stop Manzanillo next Friday.....I hope!

mikeo

I'm in San Jose, CA. My MA said a week depending on how much work needs to be done in the VDC.

So I went to the ship tracker and looks like there is no report for Madame Butterfly...is this correct for anyone else?
