Placed my order this past weekend, I'm in production Wk24. WHERE IS MY MINI????????

Holy crap, I have NO IDEA how I'm going to last 3 or 4 weeks waiting for delivery.

So when should we expect to take delivery of the week 24 cars? Exactly how long does it take to ship, anyone know?

Guess I'll have to make a signature now....

I guess that makes me a part of Week 24 Production, since I was told my would be built during the week of June 11, 2007.

Anyone know if I can track the progress if I'm having my MINI shipped to Toronto, Ontario??

I was told I should receive my MCS in late July. Is that right??

The details are, there are no details.

Been following a few threads in the Nav Audio section though. There are a few powered subs available that look like they should fit with no problem.

I live in Oakville - just West of Mississauga. About 20 min out of the city.

wow birdman!!! lucky you in getting your production that quick!! how'd you get that lucky? i wish i could have waited 3-4 weeks as opposed to 2 1/2-3 months

well... the anxious part begins... here's what i was told... it'll take about a week to go through the production. so let's say our mini's finish Friday, June 15. Then they have to dock onto the boats...

i thought i read that for east coasters the port is charleston, SC (someone please correct me if i'm wrong). hopefully your mini would make it for the 6/16 Freedom. if so, then it should arrive in SC on 6/30. if it doesn't make the Freedom, then hopefully it gets on the 6/23 Patriot, which arrives 7/7. us west coasters will hopefully board the 6/25 Manon (since we're obviously missing the 6/11 Madame Butterfly), which is expected to arrive at Port Heuneme on 7/16 (even though ASKMINI claimed it should take 2 weeks to east coasters, and 2 1/2 weeks to west coasters)... it's probably best to check the week 21, 22, and 23 forums since some of them are being told if their minis made certain boats...

once they land, then the VDC holds it for a couple days for some checkups... and then it's off to your dealer...

i hope that helps... that is as much as i know... if anyone has anything to add/change please feel free to add

hi Pav! when did you order your mini?

hmmm... i'm not sure how to track a mini for Ontario... did you MA tell you? I say try to call AskMini (1-866-ASK-MINI)... maybe they can refer you to the right person. i think the MINI2 forums may also have some info, since the members come from all over... the world. let us know what you find out

Make that a week or two if you've checked the JCW Aero kit on the options list or if the car was damaged during the journey.

I ordered my MINI yesterday. It feels like forever ago. I guess I'm lucky that I go into production so soon because I have a friend who sells MINIs, who had a favour that another dealership owed him. So, I basically got bumped to the front of the line. I won't complain!

I'll try calling that number soon, and see what happens.

I just tried entering my Production # into the owner's lounge, but it didn't recognize the number. Maybe I'll give it some time and try again - hopefully its just not in the system yet

howdyem,
Thanks for the info. No luck involved, it's the art of negotiation.

Found a dealer that was sending a car in their lot to another dealer to be sold. In return, they got one of their productiojn alotments for week 24 (which I asked for/demanded).

They wanted to sell a car, I would only purchase if my criteria was met. 99 out of a 100 times, the criteria magically gets met!!

Where did you get all the boat info? I would think mine would come into Newark, no?

Yes Birdman, your MINI (mine too) gets to see the Statue of Liberty and on into New Jersey.

finally ordered my MINI

Greetings, I ordered my MC Sat. 6/2 at MINI of Woodlands north of Houston. Was immediately given a production #, status "112 - Schedule for daily production pack", and Priority: 1-Customer Sold. My MA said they still had 4 openings for MC for week 24 and that I'd get one of those slots. I did change my order Monday (added anthracite headliner). Hopefully that won't push my production day back.

Guess I'm fortunate to not be waiting much time compared to others. I wanted to order earlier this year but was waiting for the audion package. What are other people's experiences with the Owner's Lounge? I logged in the same day I ordered w/ my production #. It showed my MC as chili red, but by Sunday my order had been updated with the correct color and options. Don't see the anthracite headliner I added to my order showing up yet. Of course I still have status of "on order." Does anyone have status of "Scheduled for production" in the owner lounge yet?

The Owner's Lounge seems to be where updates show up last. It's been a two days behind from what I can tell.

West coast sailing times have usually been quoted by the shippers as 21 days.

Oh, and fwiw, I was at the dock 6/1 and didn't make the 6/4 sailing according to the WW site. Your cars can be shipped by other cariers, but their sites are not as tracking friendly.

I called Ask-MINI for a live person and was told "week 24" on Friday, today the automated option on Ask-MINI was updated to "production complete June 10th" (yeah!). I just checked the owner's lounge website and it still just shows "on order".

Brad,
Not me, just says "On order". Yesterday mine said, "07 Astro Black CooperS" which was wrong (Like you, the dealer gave me one of there previous order slots). This morning it says "07 Dark Grey CooperS" and all the correct options.

I'm in the system and ready to roll!! I can't figure out how I'm going to wait weeks before I get this thing!!!

Anyone have the boat schedules for Newark??

Looks like the status section of the Owner's Lounge is less accurate than the options section. Last night the Antharcite headliner option that I added to my order on Monday showed up in the Review Order Details pane.

I called the 866-Ask-MINI number last night and was told my vehicle is in production but with no date available. Today I called back and was given a date of June 11. Both calls were automated responses. Any idea how accurate the automated info is?

Anyway, my order tracking status still says "on order." I'll be happy if the vehicle is finished by Monday. That would be just 9 days after I ordered it!

9 days is pretty good. I ordered mine on Monday. I'm told production starts on the 11th... i'm keeping my fingers crossed. I dont think the owner's lounge applies to those of us in Canada. Darn.

Brad,
Looks like our cars might be neighbors on the same boat! I'll be picking mine up in Arlington, and it too is scheduled for a June 11 completion date. This puts me somewhere in between week 23 and 24 so I'm just keeping an eye on both threads!

I ordered mine on 5/26, so not too much longer wait for me. The OL says scheduled for production for me, but then it's had a few extra days to catch up. From what I've read, the automated ASK MINI info is fairly reliable once you get an estimated completion date out of it.
