Wow! Those of us on the Emden just got the short end of the stick apparently. :( Mine's expected around 10 tomorrow am, and I hope to pick it up tomorrow early afternoon. The wait is over soon though...

The Frisia minis are getting delivered...I'm going to have my phone with me every minute, waiting for the call....EDC was supposed to be the 15th (Sunday?) but I'm hoping for a slightly premature delivery.

Emden stragglers

My MA just called to say my MINI arrived this morning. Glad I ordered my waxing/detailing supplies yesterday. Now I need to print out the suggested checklist someone posted in another thread and clean out all the junk in my current car.

Also requesting that they move the microphone to the U.S. driver's side. Hope I haven't forgotten anything. I'm more nervous than excited now.

Good to hear guys, go get em!!

Brad, no need to be nervous.... your going to love it. I brought my online build list printout with me, and wrote some notes at the bottom of easy ways to check if things were there. When I got to dealership to pick up, just went around car and checked off each item down the list to make sure everything was there. Took me a about 2 minutes. The only thing I was missng was the schrome hood scoop, which my MA had already told me they didn't get in yet. So all was ok.

Good luck!!

Congratulations on the upcoming deliver Brad!!! How exciting for you!!!

Oh wow... I didn't know that we had to request they move the bluetooth microphone to the U.S. driver's side! Is this something that the dealer can do easily, or is it something that would have been done at the Oxford plant?

Thanks, here's the thread about the microphone location. MINI owner's have been moving their own so it can be done after leaving the plant. Whether I could do it is another matter, so I'm going to see if the dealer will do it without charging me extra.

I love it! Okay, take a deep breath, let the air out slowly and repeat the process. Then, since you won't be driving your baby for a day or three, feel free to imbibe of your favorite beverage. This mind altering solution is almost always effective for me.

Brad and Howdy,
Moving the mic: You can do it yourself, takes 5 minutes and is very easy. And note, it's moving it about inches, so it's not earth shattering if you don't move it. I bet it's hard to tell the difference.

Introducing....SheRa

Hi All,

Well, I am VERY proud to say I picked up my baby this past Monday night and have been having a blast! I am extremely happy with my options and color choice . Entire process went well and like many folks here I made numerous changes. Darron, at Mini of the MainLine (and the dealership overall) was a pleasure to work with. Originally I thought I was having a son but soon realized that I instead delivered a girl and last night just before I fell asleep she telepathically told me her name is "SheRa" just like the character in the He-Man cartoon from years back. She has been at my dealer since last week but I went out of town last Wednesday so I had to wait til this week to get her. I just wanted to share the great news and post some pre-mod pics .

SheRa: PW/PW '07 MCS, Automatic, Redwood Leather, Piano Black, Chrome Line Interior, Anthracite Headliner, CW Pkg, 16" All Season BridgeSpoke, Center Armrest, Comfort Access

Order Date: 4/28
At Dealer: 7/3 (exactly 8 days after it was loaded on truck from Jersey - don't know why it took so long to get to PHL but she made it here in one piece so I'm happy)
Pickup date: 7/9

SheRa looks beautiful! The all-white with red interior looks really classy. What mods are you going to do?

Congratulations! I love the car and I love the name. I must ask, what does SheRa actually mean? Enjoy your new baby!

Carla99 mentioned the He-Man cartoon. She-Ra was the Princess of Power and the twin sister to He-Ra.

Oh, and congrats on taking delivery on SheRa, she's a beauty!

Thanks all for the compliments. I can't tell what mods I'm going to do yet, don't want to spoil the surprise (and I don't want anyone to use my ideas before I do). Hopefully I can have everything done within the next few weeks though and I will definitely be sure to post tons of pics .
