Enough of this talk about important stuff...what color do you run on your ambient lighting???

I actually had to intentionally take my Cooper out after dark last night to see how the ambient lights looked. Very nice...especially coming from an earlier Cooper which had none!!!

So I'll be running blue pretty much all the time. As has been reported, it seems the brightest.

I think blue looks more interesting. I might have used red, if available, but amber doesn't do much for me.

I like blue the best but I noticed the two blue dots in the front tend to catch my eye to much sometimes so I'll switch to orange ,my wife likes pink,I wish you could switch the dash to blue but it might be to soothing and put you to sleep.

Blue here as well. Wife tried to change it to purple but I would have none of that.

I know. I believe the ambient lighting in R50/53 was orange-only. I wonder if it was brighter.

I usually use blue. Sometimes purkle. But I have to say, overall, I find the ambience lighting fairly unimpressive. The only place it is really noticeable is on the seatbelt anchors and I can't exactly see them while driving.

I have to admit that the colors look fab at night, I go for Blue, wife likes Pink. It would be neat if all the console lighting could be varied using the same technology.

It'd be awesome if the color could be set for each key, so per se when the wife puts hers in its pink and mine is blue. Unfortunately I couldnt it see it when i test drove one during the day.

I guess you all should realise that this "MOOD" lighting in our Minis may cause a spike in the US birth rate in the future

It's a shame that they did not put the ambient lighting on a different dimmer than the dash lights. To get the ambirnt lighting bright enough to really see, you have to crank the dash lights up all the way.

The blue is brightest and shows off the interior better, but is distracting, so I stick to the orange.

I keep it at orange, seems to be a better match with the rest of the instrument panel.
