Hope I'm right on this being my 1st thread. Our PWS went into production on the 22nd with a scheduled finish date of the 30th. Anyone else in the same group as us? This will be our 2nd MCS. We ordered it on the 18th and couldn't believe it was in production already. Wife is very excited being this will be her MINI! The 1st time we only had to wait about 5 1/2 weeks from ordering to delivery. It appeared that the dealer had alot of cars on the lot as they tried to find one close to her spec's. The 1st time(in May 05) there wasn't a MINI in sight that wasn't sold.(just an observation)

 

Count me in. My MINI was originally scheduled for week #23 but was bumped up to week #21. I placed my final order in the last week of April and should be taking delivery in the middle of July.

 

Cool, me too. I even went to the shippers and if we're lucky, a boat is leaving the 3rd and the 4th. I'm a west coast guy, Seattle, so I think I'm on the 4/6/07 boat. You east coasters come into GA I think. I also think your boat will be the Courage. I'm hoping to be on the Maersk Wind.

dogdal24, I wonder if there's something to the slo sales bantered about on the forums? Certainly it's an east coast phenom as the wait up here is 4-7 mo.

My dealer was saying something like all the dealers were getting the same allotment in the 1st 2 quarters.(that being the smaller dealers were getting the same amount of cars as the larger dealer). My wife's car should be going to the North Jersey VDC, did you happen to see any ships going that way. Oh and congratulations on your MINI's gforce23 and Mgibrace. Glad to hear from you both. Ed

Hi all -I guess i'm in this group. My story is the same as gforce's as I was scheduled for week 23 and bumped up. My car went into production on monday 5/21 with a scheduled completion of May 28. July can't come soon enough for me. Good luck to you all.

 

Umm, that's probably the cheapest part in my basket of freebies. But yeah, it feels good!

Coming back to the topic, I'm pretty surprised by the *end of production* date specified by the factory. Mine is scheduled to be completed on 05/30 while others have said 05/28?!? I guess the cars getting completed on a later date have more options?

 

Welcome Mini4MinPin, wonder why you both got moved up. I't is great news though. Hope everything works this way, That way everyone can be motoring that much sooner!

 

FWIW, I also was moved up 3 wks. My scheduled end date is 5/30.

Checked with Mini yesterday and our Mini is in the bodyshop, still with a finish date of 5/30. Production is probably the easiest part of the wait.....I don't know how you west coasters can deal with the looonnger WAIT!:impatient When waiting for my 05 I read the owners manual TWICE-COVER TO COVER. This time around I've already read the R56 manual once and its only been a week and a half. My wife just settled on a name for her PW, but I'm not allowed to tell yet.

 

Did you check with your dealer or ASK-MINI?

 

Ask-Mini. Also checked Friday on Ask-Mini but talked with a real person. I't just was getting into the bodyshop.

When I ordered my DS/B MCS on 5.3.07, my MA told it would enter production on 6.1.07 and estimated that I would take delivery about the third week of June. Lurking this site fueled a sickness, and I began checking miniusa multiple times daily...well...the MiniGods are smiling... because today it says..."Scheduled For Production." I immediately called 866-askmini they told me it went into production on 5.24.07. She's in the body shop right now and should be completed on 6.1.07. I guess I've moved from week 23 to week 21? Does the wait get any easier from here????

 

Welcome aboard the week 21 express! Thats awesome you week 23 guys got bumped up. The transport and vdc are probably the longest waiting time so I think we have a ways to go.

 

Looks like your MINIs are in the fast lane. My car is still in the body shop!

Just called still in Paint shop. 866-MINI said it still has to go through assembly and quality control so It looks like It won't be done today.

 

Anybodies car done yet? Just checked and am still in paint shop also

 

As of this morning my car was in assembly with a completion date of today!!! Hope everyones gets done soon!!
