The wife called ask-MINI on her way home from work about 6:30 waited for about 10 min to talk to a real live person. Whoo-Hoo car is done and was in quality assurance. Next it will be released to transportation. Hope all its brothers and sisters (meaninig your MINI's)pop out with it.
I called this morning and talked with ask-Mini and it was still in the paint shop. G-Force called about his or her car at 5:30 and it was still in the paint shop. My theory is that the turbo got wound up and they couldn't stop it......it just blew through the plant!

Just called again and am still in paint shop with finish today, but didn't speak to a human. Glad someone has a finished car! Let's hope we're all there with you.

Could anyone here summarize how long it took from entering the body shop to heading to the dock? I've heard as short as 3 to as long as 8 days. Seems like too large a range.

Well, my car was just released to the carrier today. It took about a week from entering the body shop to get to this point for me.

rover, no idea, but 3 days would be sweet cause there's a boat scheduled for the west coast on the 4th.

Boohoo! It seems my MCS is permanently stuck in the paint shop!
Any fellow week #21 LiB owners out here? The estimated completion date just got pushed back by 2 days.

We checked the link that Mgibrace gave us http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp This is the shipping co.

Pull down the customer care column and click check cargo it will take you to another screen which you'll click auto cargo. On the next screen just pu ypur VIN # in for the cargo id #. Last night it wasn't there but this morning .

Ah.. Courage was the ship who brought my baby to me a few weeks ago. Man she gets around! I had her call sign permanently burned in my memory
It's WDC6907 ....

You can also track her using this website until she leaves Southampton. http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/shipping_movments.asp

You can explore some other features on this site as well like the live radar.

All the best, I know the wait is a killer - but believe me its worth it.

Yeeehaaa!! ASK-MINI confirmed that my car checked out this morning and is on its way to the docks at Southampton! Now the hard part is trying to decide if I should give the go ahead to install the JCW Aero kit at the VDC or the dealership. Its awfully difficult to part with $2500 for what seems to be a simple bumper and side skirt upgrade.

Doesn't the COURAGE leave on 06/02? Come on truck driver, I have a ship to catch!

Edit:
@dogdal:
I believe this is what we'd be looking at:
http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...l?call=WDC6907

Edit #2:
Production timeline:
Body shop - 3 days
Paint shop - 4 days!
Assembly and QC - 1 day!

Checked that no less than 20 times in the past couple of minutes. There's no info and the MA doesn't have "sufficient info" to help me out.

I just checked the shipping on my original car order and it's on the MAERSK WIND also but there's something curious. The dates show it was BOOKED on 5/15 and RECEIVED AT TERMINAL on 5/31. Do others have such a big difference between those dates?
