2010 hands free fix?

I live on the east coast and in some states out here we can't use our phones hand held. I have an Iphone and everyone that tries to call me says they can't hear me, so I have to pull over to use my phone separately from the car, I just was wondering was there ever a fix for this that anyone knows of?

On some systems, no matter what the car, it helps to surround the phone mic with a bit of foam, or to put some foam over the back of it to dampen background noise and let your voice get through the call.
Also, if it's possible, move the mic closer to you. As an example, if it's mounted in a headliner trim piece that has two different mounting places depending on Left hand and right hand drive car production, the manufacturer may have allowed for the mic to be moved from one spot to the other if the wiring harness is long enough.
Just moving the mic closer to you often helps get clarity back with phone conversations.
Sometimes there's a software update that can help, but the foam really works for some people and it's a cheap trick to try first.

Do some searching here there more than 20 threads about this issue. Including the "proper way to adjust the volume controls within the radio as there are separate volumes for receive voice and out going voice. Also check your iPhone volumes as there is a Bluetooth volume control, usually adjusted while on a Bluetooth call.

And as pure red stated check the location of your microphone. There are threads here on how to move it.

Moving the Mic: Stock they are on the right hand side, I guess for the RHD cars and they just did not want to move it for thr LHD cars.

Also little felt screen that people tear off.

I just moved mine, took all of 5 minutes. Super easy. I'll try foam next if this doesn't fix it.
