I was getting the same code with my JB+ installed.
Took it in to the dealer and they swapped it out for a new pump.
Give them a call and give them the last 5 digits on your VIN to see if it's covered.

JohnDoe,
With these codes, they replaced your High Pressure Fuel Pump?

Thanks very much for the tip. I will call the dealer tomorrow.

What year is your car?

Huck

The warranty is only for the original pump, we've had multiple customers be shot down on warranty replacement due to it already being changed.

Luckily for MINI the prices on the HPFP tripled. They now sell for around $1,200...

More info here , some people are getting it covered, most are not last time I heard, check with MINI dealership first.

Looks like a major price increase from MINI, these were high in price, then they dropped down in price, then shot way up. This is over the course of the last two years. We currently don't have any aftermarket solutions.

DIY is here for info and what to look for with issues.

I kept going into limp home mode, but my generic code reader was no help, once I got a 3109 if I remember right. The dealer ran a full set of diag's and then replaced the pump. Now I have a code reader from ECS that will read the OEM codes and hope I will not need it!

Thanks for the order. Great tool to have just encase, but if funny because you dont want to have a CEL in the first place on your MINI. But good insurance with the tool when you need it. Its good to run and find all the stored codes, its like a history lesson on what problem you MINI had in the past.
