LED parking lamp problem

Just replaced the stock w5w incandescent parking lamp bulbs on my 2009 Clubman S with LED equivalents. They look great and the LED bright white color matches the Xenon color quite nicely. BUT I am getting the triangle with ! warning on startup telling me that both left and right parking lamps are out even though the LEDs are shining btightly. Im thinking the LED low resistance is causing the warning. Is there any way to get rid of the warning lamp or fool the computer? I want to stick with the LEDs. Thanks in advance.

You have the wrong LEDs. Make sure you buy Canbus error free W5W or T 10 LEDs. Do a search you will find them on Ebay, these LEDs have resistors to fool computer as if you have the traditional bulbs.

I would like to remove my DLR's completely, what do I do to keep the error off the dash?

What DRL are you talking about ?

MINI Factory LED DRLs ? Aftermarket non Ziza LED's ? Pics would help.

When I bought my 2008 Justa used, it was missing the normal running light on one side so I have an error on my dash. I do not want to replace it with the normal lamp, but make brackets to hold PIAA lights just in front of that area and have them separately wired direct to the switch. I think there is something I can plug in the sockets to fool the warning light, a resistor of some type.

Don't know about putting an inline resistor to trip the system.

You have two lights down there if the housing is missing. A position light and the lower light which is the fog light. You would have to trip both wires.

Thanks

Yes, that is it, I have the other side. I figured I could just match the bulb wattage with some sort of resistor, and there are two bulbs on each side. Ironically, the dealer I bought it from got the full on foglight for it, but of course the connectors were all different so they never put it on but just gave it to me.

I have looked carefully at the lights and options ECS offers but decided on the PIAA's instead. It will be a lot of work, I know, but in the planning stages I need to figure out how to keep the light failure error out of it.

You can recode the computer module in the car to not do the bulb checks. Search for NCS Expert. The setup will only cost about $60 for the cable and a some hours of your time setting up the program and learning how to use it (assuming that you have a laptop). Or you can find someone local to do it for you.

Hey ECS!!!

I'm looking at getting the PIAA H13 Xtreme White Plus 4000k bulbs. Will your LED Front Position Lights match? Specifically, what Kelvins is it? Trying to match 4000k all over.

Thanks

We have not matched them with the PIAA. We know they match with the Ziza fog light in platinum 7500k

H8 Platinum White Bulb - Pair ES2526574

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/ES2526574/

So the Headlight H13: We dont carry in 7500k just the ~400k silver star Sylvania.

Thanks

YUP! The new update lets you "delete" the bulb checks.. I have not done it myself, but I dont see as why it would not work.

That program for the price and features is very, very cool.
