I know the game has been out a while, but I recently picked up Forza Motorsports 4. Obviously one of the first cars I purchased was a 2011 Mini Clubman John Cooper Works!

I don't have 4, however I pre-ordered Horizon. I haven't played Forza before but this one looked interesting. Let me know if you pick it up.

Loved forza 3, couldn't get enough of 4...couldn't wait for horizon...then the demo came out and I was SO happy I didn't preorder horizon. Money not wasted on that disppointment of a game.

 

Agreed, I bought 3 and wasn't into it much. I preordered Horizon because I thought the idea of an open world would be interesting, however after playing the demo, I'm less than impressed. It reminded me of a revamped Midnight Club racing lol. Maybe I'll cancel the preorder and find a cheap copy of 4...

 

It reminded me of need for speed meets dirt. I was so disppointed. They managed to take away everything I loved about Forza and just made another "open environment" arcade game. So much fail.

 

I sort of have the idea that online play will be similar. We have to keep in mind that what we played was only a demo there were tons of features that we didnt see. For all of our sakes I hope I am right

 

I couldnt put the Forza 4 demo down...I played it every day until 4 came out. I played the Horizon demo for about 10 minutes continually hoping it would get better. Unfortunately, it did not. If I ever end up getting horizon, it will not be for the $60 theyre asking

 

Yeah I agree its not worth the 60 but I enjoyed it. Didnt love it

I love both Forza 4 and Horizon! Horizon is less like a simulator but the physics from F4 are still there, so it's not too cheesey and impossible like the Need For Speed franchise. Plus, there's finally a MCS in the game!

Trying to match the color combo to my real car sucked because in the game, they only offered a black or *silver* roof with the silver body. So I applied a large swath of white vinyl on the roof and painted the spoiler and mirrors white and voila!

At the very least, Horizon has some beautiful scenery that provides a great backdrop for photos:

 

Horizon was fun for a week. I decided to be a hypocrite and try it. Now that I've 100%'d the game it bores me
