CF Dash Trim

Are there any posts/links that show/tell how to remove the dash trim pieces? I want to wrap mine in carbon fiber, but I am not sure how to remove the original parts.
Thanks in advance for your help on this search!
MOTOR ON!

Drivers side
Move steering wheel in DOWN position.
Remove 2 torx screws that hold the tach to the steering column
Slide tach forward and move out of the way
Get your fingers behind your dash piece and pull...it's tight but it WILL come off. I tend to pull right behind the tach to the left first. There are 3 pins holding it in
.

Passenger side
Open secret compartment
Remove 2 torx screws on under side of door
There are 3 thin clips holding the door on.
The clips are on the bottom side of the door
You may need a flashlight to see them
Use a very thin screw driver to release each pin
Remove, put new one on, put screws back in.

FYI,
to wrap them properly, you will need to remove the face from the mounting piece. You have to drill out the plasic mounting points on the back side of each piece. The face is held to the back by melted plastic. Then you can skin the piece and remount by using hot glue or another form of adhesive. Hot glue works best using the original mounting points.

Lakersguy,

Slim Jim got me started on this project and my car turned out really slick. I learned a lot so that my wifes door pulls turned out even better.

You can follow my progress here:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...oor-pulls.html

I DID NOT remove the secret door cover from the back piece as jim described by melting the rivets. I really didnt know I needed too...LOL.

I wrapped the skin around it, trimmed the edges and used a sanding block to square up all the 4 edges when done. It looks great and in the closed position, it looks OEM.

Two things I did differently on her door pulls:
1. Use light heat from model airplane covering heat gun on each coat of epoxy to remove bubbles.

2. Do not lacquer the parts when done. I had the right humidity and temps and still got an eggshell finish on mine. After 6 coats of epoxy I took her door pulls to a 6" buffing wheel and used carnuba wax and they look like glass.

Good Luck!

I'm about to try a spare set of mirror caps I bought, but I'm dreading the sanding...

By removing the face from the base plate, you can get a really crisp edge.
